Posted on September 22nd, 2011 by LBD "Nytetrayn"
About a month ago, we brought you word of a neat custom figure of Mega Man Legends hero/star MegaMan Volnutt, as produced by Score6.
Thanks to MMN reader Zak, we now have an in-depth video update on the figure. Check it out:

@Zak
I never said ‘People can disagree about the way a girl looks because different things look good to different people, but since I’m an expert I won’t let that apply to this figure’. What’s the point of changing my own words to other words then portraying it as a quote, in order to fit your own argument? I’ve never once called myself an ‘expert’. There’s a difference between being experienced and being an expert.
If we’re delving into ‘haters gonna hate’ territory, there’s no point continuing this. You’re just twisting your words to make some incorrect portrayal.
@score6
If you consider the materials expensive, you may want to find a job and a different supplier. The materials are most definitely cheap.
Bah, this is why I shouldn’t make posts late at night. Have a head full of pudding and can’t convey anything I want to correctly.
@Score6:
You should most definitely NOT give these out for free, and personally I think the time involved in doing all this counts as a cost as well, probably one of the biggest of all, but it wasn’t unreasonable to assume you’d still be making a bigger profit since you’re not paying licensing fees, which isn’t very cool, love or hate Capcom right now. It wasn’t my intention to target you specifically either, you can replace your name with any sculptor’s and Capcom with any company, Nintendo, Square-enix, Sega, whoever, just trying to make a point there that profiting way too much off a character that isn’t yours is in fact dangerously illegal and will bite you in the ass if you take things too far. You seem like a decent guy so I hope nothing terrible happens. By the way, how much time did it take to make the prototype?
@Zak:
Time and labor is a cost people seem to forget, and it annoys me when someone does. There’s no reason, none, anyone should expect something for free unless the maker chooses to give something out for free. People have school, and jobs, and commitments of other kinds, and better things to do than to give handouts to people they don’t know.
Yeah… It was a sad little festival this year, with mostly big companies like GSC taking the spotlight. A lot of kit makers were angry, and I don’t blame them. They have to pay fees, pay to reserve a table, pay for the licensing costs, all that on top of getting the quality materials needed to sculpt and cast their kits, and it’s not hard to see why those gks cost as much as they do there. Some of the sculptors who sell there are even professionals, or very nearly so, and sometimes it seems like they must barely make anything at all off their kits… now that’s dedication!
@Adam: Very helpful, thanks for that. I forgot about some of those.
@Score6
I was wondering, when if you sell them again, is it going to have the newest sculpted face you did? Like the ones in the recent pictures?
@Megafan the newest pictures are the ones I’m sending out.
@everyone else. I won’t be posting here anymore so email me or note me on DA if you have any questions. I’ll be happy to answer them.
