Dinosaur Dracula Reviews the New FunkO’s Cereal

A bit over a week ago, we learned that toy manufacturer Funko would be creating a line of cereals based on various properties they hold the rights to, including Mega Man, with each including a Funko toy inside based on the corresponding character.

As Funko is pretty new to the cereal game, it’s natural that interested parties may not know just what to expect from this higher-than-normally-priced purchase. Fortunately, Matt of Dinosaur Dracula! is here to help.

While he doesn’t review the Mega Man cereal in question, he does take a look at two others based on Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger, of Friday the 13th (apt) and A Nightmare on Elm Street fame, respectively. Since the basic concept of the cereals seems to be the same across the board, I figured this would be good to share for those who might be on the fence with regards to investing in this new product:

It’s worth noting that the Mega Man cereal is blue instead of red, and may carry a different flavor from the rest of the line (barring Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, whose cereal is green). Given the flavor doesn’t seem to correspond with the coloring here, it may not be unreasonable to expect it to be the same across the board.

Beyond that, this should give you some idea about the quantity of cereal you should expect (half a bag) and the relative size of the toy. For what it’s worth, Matt says the cereals he got cost $13 USD per box at FYE, while GameStop (thanks, EncrypteData) is only charging just over half of that for Mega Man at $7.99 USD.

With all the facts (that we have) now laid before you, are you still interested in grabbing a box of Mega Man FunkO’s cereal? Were you ever? Sound off in the comments below!

Oh, and if you get the chance, I encourage you to visit Dinosaur Dracula! for more fun articles and videos.
