Battle Geek Plus’s Awesome Video Game Memories of Mega Man 3

Hey, I got this one in relatively good time!

We’ve heard Ryan from Battle Geek Plus recite his “Awesome Video Game Memories” for both the original Mega Man and its beloved sequel, now it’s time to see what he thinks of the number-one contender to the latter’s Classic crown and one of his most anticipated games ever, Mega Man 3!

As you can see, it’s easy to understand why this game would be one’s most-anticipated: the sequel was coming off of the first game and had to prove itself a little bit more, whereas this was built off of the hype of Mega Man 2. Throw in the additions of Rush, the slide move, eight new Robot Masters, a mysterious rival, eight old Robot Masters, a Nintendo Power poster with perhaps the biggest robot boss we’d ever seen, and there was perhaps more to look forward to in this game than any other in the franchise… at least up until people began asking “is that the letter X, or the number ten?”

On a personal note, it’s kind of funny to me that he stumbled upon the final boss’s weakness in such a way — for me, it was the Search Snakes. I never knew the Top Spin worked for years! I guess my timing must have been off when I tried it and I wrote it off from there.

As always, share your memories and experiences of when you first played Mega Man 3 in the comments below. And if, for some reason, you haven’t yet? There is a handy collection out now that you can buy.
