New Project X Zone 2 Trailer Comes with Release Date Delay

It’s been a while since we last heard anything substantial about Project X Zone 2, at least as it pertains to our scope on this site. That doesn’t mean there hasn’t been anything new, as numerous new characters have been announced (including Segata Sanshiro!), but no one new from the world of Mega Man since Sigma back in June.

At the Tokyo Game Show, Bandai Namco unveiled the following trailer alongside a bit of news:

Unfortunately, whereas the game was originally scheduled for an Autumn 2015 release in both Japan and the West, it — like so many other games as of late, from Star Fox Zero to The Legend of Zelda for Wii U to Persona 5 and, of course, Mighty No. 9 — has been pushed back to a 2016 release. According to Destructoid (via Nintendo Everything), February 16th for North America and February 19th for Europe, to be precise.

One might find it safe to assume that localization could be the culprit, as the Japanese release remains on track for a date of November 12th, 2015.
