The last time we heard about First 4 Figures' "Running Mega Man" statue, we were just finishing ringing in 2014. But now there is new information, and big information to anyone interested in the figure, at that!
Thanks to a tip from Sean A.M., we now know that the company has now opened pre-orders for the figure, as well as posted a ton of images depicting the statue from just about every conceivable angle shy of "from below." We're assuming not too many people will be looking at the bottom of the statue for very long anyway, but we digress.
With Mega Buster at the ready, the Blue Bomber is depicted in full color as he runs along one of the many conveyor belts seen throughout Metal Man's stage in Mega Man 2, sparks flying all the while. In a way, one could even look at the statue as Mega Man on his way to attaining near-ultimate power!
From the website:
The entire statue is cast in high quality polystone, and uses a variety of painting and finishing techniques to achieve a remarkable appearance to the statue. From the bottom of the base to the top of Megaman’s head, the statue measures 15 inches tall.
Comes in deluxe full color packaging, hand numbered base, and includes an authenticity card which allows you to purchase the same number of the model next in the Megaman series.
Megaman is the first in an all new range, and the lowest numbers will be available to those who pre-order earliest, so don't miss your chance!
This piece is limited to 1,000 units worldwide and is priced at $199.99, while a limited edition version featuring LED lights throughout is limited to 425 pieces at $229.99 each. Both have a $20 down payment required to pre-order (which is applied towards the total cost). Time of availability is a little more vague, as it merely says "Q1 2015."
