Last Call for Marvel vs. Capcom Origins

If you haven’t purchased the digital download of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins but are still interested, then your days are now officially numbered.

The game, which consists of both the original Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes and the Marvel-only slugfest, Marvel Super Heroes, will be pulled from both the North American and European PlayStation Stores on December 23rd, 2014. The Xbox Live Arcade version has a little bit more time to spare, as it will be globally yanked come December 31st, 2014.

This follows a similar occurrence one year ago when Marvel games were being pulled from Steam, Xbox Live Arcade, and the PlayStation Network. Among the casualties then were Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (along with their respective downloadable content), as well as numerous Marvel titles from Activision featuring Wolverine, the X-Men, Spider-Man, and even the Deadpool video game, which had only been released a mere six months prior to being pulled.

So much for an all-digital future, huh?
