Destructoid Unveils Proto Man Preview Art from Archie’s Mega Man #17

The hits just keep on coming for the 17th and 18th issues of Archie’s Mega Man comic book, which will feature the origin of Proto Man: The cover and solicitation for #17, the making of its cover, #18’s cover, the solicitation for #18, and our recent exclusive interview with writer Ian Flynn about the story.
One gets the feeling that Archie is really trying to hype this particular storyline up… not that anyone can blame them. After all, it’s not as though the story of Blues has even been fleshed out to this degree in any medium.

The latest tease for the story arc comes to us courtesy of Tony Ponce at Destructoid, who has posted two lineart teaser images from #17 which show how Proto Man looked before he became the Red Rocker we know him as today. “Before he got himself that Racer X helmet and those killer shades, his design was closer in style to that of a Sniper Joe,” Tony notes.
