Rockman Dot.Straps Volume 2 Contest

One of the hardest things you can do is forgive someone who has broken your heart. Maybe you think they don’t care. Maybe you think they found someone else. And sometimes the one you devote so much love and attention to just doesn’t seem to reciprocate. But, the decision you make henceforth separates the weak-willed from the truly passionate.
Some feel that Capcom has turned its back on Mega Man and its fans. But whether or not that’s true isn’t the point. For this contest, the point is: Can you forgive them? Can you look past what many see as the ultimate betrayal and hope for the future? Hope that your love will someday be requited? Hope that there will be a damn new Mega Man game someday? If you can muster these powerful feelings, you just may win yourself a load of Dot.Strap key rings.

Prizes:

  • Two grand prize winners will receive a box set of Rockman Dot.Straps Volume 2 (containing eight randomly selected Dot.Strap key rings*).

Objective:

Your objective is to make a Valentine’s card or love letter to Capcom that shows your forgiveness. You can be completely sincere, over the top brown nosing, amusingly cynical or totally silly about it. It can be done any way you like except for making a truly mean spirited sentiment. While you can be tongue in cheek or facetious, the point ultimately is that you do want Capcom to continue making Mega Man. If you’re going to be plain nasty, they might not want to!

Rules and Guidelines:

  • Your entry cannot make use of any content that is vulgar or offensive. We will disqualify any projects with such material, and we reserve the right to judge what is and is not vulgar and offensive.
  • Your entry must contain your own work, but can also include work owned by Capcom (such as official art, sprites, etc).
  • You may make a physical card and photograph it or scan it, or make it completely digitally.

Disclaimer:

By entering this contest, you agree to present your home mailing address should you win so that we can mail you your prize. If you are under the age of 15, you should get consent from your parents to give out your mailing address before entering. We are not responsible for any trouble you might get into with your parents should they not agree to giving your home address.

You may enter the contest no matter where you live, provided you can receive mail from Japan in your country.

*The Dot.Strap Volume 2 collection has nine total key rings, but a box set only contains eight. Your set will be missing one of the key rings.

Don’t feel bad about all that’s happen last year with megaman and the fans. That year is gone and this is going to be a fresh start and there is plenty off time for you to make a come back in the fans harts. Some times you need to take a break and recollect your thoughts and it takes time to make new plans. If you just throw a game out to make a dead line it won’t meet up to everyone expectations and then the name starts to die off. Your keeping the name alive with the different games that hes just showing up in when megaman makes his ultimate come back the soul of his game will be stronger then ever. so take your time and make the best megaman game ever! When your ready.

Capcom Love letter

Dear Capcom,

I hope we the fans have done nothing wrong. We only want the next game in any of the unfinished Megaman series. There are many loose ends that need to be tied and I know in my heart you are trying. And in not seeing this many fans have not shown you the love and respect you deserve in the past few years, especially following the cancelation of Megaman Universe and Legends 3. You have been at the receiving end of too much ridicule for too long. Nevertheless,  I have not given up hope and I know that in the very depths of my heart you will not let us down in the end. As a fan have stood by your side even though others have lost the faith. I have waited and waited for the release of X9 and will continue to do so until the end.

Yours truly,

Bert
