Nobody Puts Keiji in the Corner!

I saw this on the Capcom*Unity forums a couple of weeks ago, and didn’t really think much of it; it seemed like the same ol’, same ol’ to me. But since it seems to be picking up and spreading, I figured I might as well share it with you all.
User “John Rambo” put the question to Capcom about whether or not series overlord Keiji Inafune still wants to continue the Mega Man Legends series. He goes on to cite Inafune’s lack of financial support as the cause for the lack of progress, asking if perhaps Inafune’s situation is now different. And if he really said he was going to try to make another Legends before he dies.

Capcom Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development, Christian Svensson, stepped in to field Rambo’s inquiry:

I can’t really speak on behalf of Inafune, but I do know that MM is near and dear to his heart. And if Inafune wants something badly enough, he is rarely denied in our greenlight/CS management meetings.

Some take that to mean that those “rare” instances he has been denied have involved Legends, while other theories are that this could mean it’s already in development. But I wouldn’t lay money on that horse just yet.

Now, here’s a question for you members of the MMN community: do tidbits such as the above interest you, enough so that we should continue to post them? Or would you rather we hold and post other, more definitive things?
