Mega Man 2 Now Available on the 3DS eShop in Europe
Posted on February 5th, 2013 by Heat Man
Ah, any excuse to post this amazing box art is great. Good news, fellow fans east of the Atlantic. If you didn’t hear, Mega Man 2 is now available for you on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. You can buy this classic for £4.49/€4.99. North Americans, fear not. Mega Man 2 is planned to come your way later this week, February 7th for $4.99. Grab what is arguably the best Mega Man game ever made. (Now you will all proceed to argue with me.)

I JUST turned on Mega Man 2 and while I was waiting for my first stage to start I came here to find Mega Man 2 news, haha. Hopefully this means NA will get it this Thursday!
For me, this is the order that I go with:
Wood Man (Mega Buster)
Bubble Man (Leaf Shield)
Heat Man (Bubble Lead)
Crash Man (Mega Buster or Atomic Fire)
Air Man (Leaf Shield)
Metal Man (Mega Buster)
Flash Man (Crash Bomber)
Quick Man (Time Stopper)
Air Man (Mega Buster)
Metal Man (Mega Buster)
Wood Man (Metal Blades)
Bubble Man (Metal Blades)
Heat Man (Bubble Lead)
Crash Man (Air Shooter)
Flash Man (Metal Blades)
Quick Man (Time Stopper)
…That sounds about right. I change it up usually. Once you have the metal blades, everything else is a cake walk.
2′s ok. I prefer 3 though. But that won’t stop me from adding it to my 3DS Virtual Console collection.
I know this following opinion isn’t related, but while we’re on the subject of eShop titles… What I really want to know is if they’ll ever release the remaining Game Boy titles (II-V) on the eShop. And it’d be nice of Xtreme & Xtreme 2 got ported as well. These are rarer titles that less people have probably had a chance to play. I mean, we have the Anniversary Collection and X Collection for 1-8 and X1-6. And some of the original Classic series games have already made it to the other download services.
It’s surprising that more of the GB titles haven’t come out yet, but I think they will in time. I know Brelston has been a big proponent of getting MMV up there.
Yeah, of all the Classic GB titles, I want to play MMV the most. But you’re right. We should give it time. The eShop has equally obscure and strange selections right now, so it could be inevitable.
Hoping one day that there won’t be any country/region locking. So one worldwide release immediately. Laws and common sense need to improve for this to happen though.
Mega Man 2, the best MM game ever? Not even close.
“High resolution graphics!” always makes me smile. I miss old game presentation. Manuals and box art are so sacred to me.
Why does MM2 not show up on my 3ds (Yes I live in europe)? Wikipedia says the game comes out on the 7th in europe, weird…
can’t wait for the next eshop update here in Australia, hopefully this will drop then. Have been holding out on replaying the rest of the series since MM1 was released on the eshop
Quick Man (Buster)
Air Man (Buster)
Bubble Man (Buster)
Wood Man (Air Shooter)
Metal Man (Quick Boomerang)
Heat Man (Bubble Lead)
Crash Man (Air Shooter)
Flash Man (Metal Blade)
I have a weird order, but Bubble Man is fun to fight buster only.
