Project X Zone is Westward Bound

project_x_zone1-620x397

By way of Operation Rainfall, we’ve just received word from a Crunchyroll report that Project X Zone is indeed making its way to Nintendo 3DS owners in the West during the Summer of 2013. The announcement came during a Namco Bandai press event, where they also announced the PlayStation Network-exclusive One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 and Tekken Card Tournament, plus a “big announcement” to come on February 4th.

No other details are available at this time, but who plans to pick this one up when it hits our shores?

  3. Omar says:

Okay. I was gonna get a 3ds for pokemon, but this? This just made the investment better.

  4. Bururian says:

I’m excited. Oh, how I’m excited.

  5. Whelp… guess I’ll be participating in generation 6 of Pokemon after all. All I was waiting for was a Legends 3 substitute, like this, to conquer my indifference and usher me into the world of 3DS ownership.

  6. Not only is this game coming out of Japan, but according to destructoid it will have japanese audio too! I can’t stop smiling, this is the best case scenario possible, hahaha :D

  7. Aaron says:

I’ll wait until I see it in stores before getting excited over this.

  8. Totally called it!! Wahoo!!!

Getting this news less than 30 seconds after being called back to Nintendo for work?

Leaving Microsoft forever? X and Haken Browing and Bruce Willis team up?

    I’m…….I’m so happy…

  11. Nicholas says:

You mean I actually have a Megaman (related) game to look forward to………FINALLY!!!

  14. ZeroX_Syaoran says:

Well, it looks like I’m buying a 3DS. This and Pokemon clinched the deal. XD

    Woohoo! XD

  15. erikthered says:

not much of a strategy rpg fan… but I am a big mega man fan…

I’ve bought every handheld ever because I wanted a mega man game on it… but is this worth the 3ds? I don’t really want anything else on it except mega man gameboy virtual console games… and it seems like they gave up on that…

  16. Phaelin says:

YES. Between this and Fire Emblem, I am going to stay BUSY.

  17. Wave says:

If you’re getting the game for just X and Zero, you might be
disappointed :( They don’t show up until halfway through the game and to tease you even further, the moment you get them you can’t use them after the next stage. But overall it IS a really really fun game!

  18. ManwholovesRockamusic says:

well this is some good news to hear in quite a while guess I should count myself lucky that I do have a 3DS to finally play something I would like to have.

  19. Kapus says:

I won’t be getting this (lacking a 3DS and all), but it’s still really great to see this get localized.

I’m actually more excited to see Yuri Lowell than Mega Man and Zero.

  20. gutsman004 says:

Seems like the industry has gone crossover crazy as of late.

  21. DurffPhones says:

I will honestly consider getting this. I will definitely want more information about the western version though as it becomes available. Like I’m wondering if they’ll be using english voice actors or just keeping the japanese. If it’s getting dubbed, WHO IS GOING TO VOICE X?!!!!!!!!

  22. Greg Dudley says:

    Well, tomorrow’s the 4th.

…Here’s hoping the community doesn’t get “futt-bucked” by Capcom once again. D8
