Air Man Still Can’t Be Beat in New ROCKMAN HOLIC Preview
Posted on November 22nd, 2012 by Heat Man
Here’s another song you can enjoy from the upcoming arranged album ROCKMAN HOLIC. This time it’s an arrangement of Team.Nekocan’s original track that rocketed to amazingly popularity (and can even be played at karaoke): Can’t Beat Air Man. This arrangement features Hanatan behind the vocals, and a bit more of a smooth electronic rock arrangement.
Thanks for the tip, Michael and Stealth Woman!

AWWWWWW YEAH!!!
Good! but i still prefer the original one
Can’t believe a song about not being able to beat an easy boss picked up so much traffic. Oh, but don’t get me wrong! It’s still a fantastic one.
Very good, I prefer the original but this one it’s good too.
Who’da thunk they’d stick a Terminator 2 reference in that…? o.o
I know Can’t Beat Airman gets a lot of bad rep, especially in more recent years, I do kind of feel that there is kind of a meaningful point to it. Though the song title suggests Airman only, the song also talks about frustration in just getting to Heat Man and the desire for Item-2 which can only be obtained after beating Air Man, the frustration of beating Air Man (as easy as many say he is), …and the frustration of also being unable to beat Wood Man for his weapon ability, who in turn is weak to Heat Man’s weapon. I know that Wood Man can also be defeated with Metal Blades but…
The point of the song is “an endless cycle of frustration.” Maybe the cycle was only seemingly endless for the song writer, but that was the song’s point. Whether you find Air Man easily beatable or not, I’m sure many of us can still kind of relate to the song with our own frustrations with the game. Like my own frustrations getting past Jewel Man’s swinging iron bars. I have to purchase Beat and spike guards just to get passed those. Nonetheless, it was extremely frustrating to me… So I’m able to relate to another’s frustration with a MM game.
Though I still agree that Can’t Beat Airman is about as overrated as Wily Stage 1/Okkusenman. I much prefer the song about Gutsman’s stage, which also happens to be about frustration.
By the way, a little off topic and all, but I just wanted to point out to the TMMN staff that pretty much all of the page links are broken now, they redirect me to that same old under construction message. I can’t even get into the forums or gallery anymore. It’s been like this for awhile now and I’m starting to get annoyed.
i wish i could tape paper eyes on a moving fan and have it stay still lol
I liked the original, but I think I like this version better. In particular, I like the vocals better (that’s how I am, I just tend to like female vocals, or vocals that sound female, better)
wow theirs like 10 versions of this
Did you know that you can easily defeat Woodman with Air Shooter?
Ehh, didn’t like this one very much, to be honest. I like the original a lot more, it feels more energetic and fun XD
I like the original better as well, for the same reasons as Ian Dimas. I do think this one’s ok though…
It’s decent, I actually like it.
But as Ian and RedrazerZero said already, the original is still the best.
I actually really like this version. She pronounces everything much more clearly. ^_^
MWA HA HA HA HA!!!!
YOU FOOLS!!!!!!
YOU DARE TO CHALLENGE MY WINDS!!!?
I CANNOT BE DEFEA–
Oh who am I kidding….I am the most easily beaten robot master EVER!!!!
I’m still super cool though and this video…while not as good as the original, really rocks.
@Airman
You want easy to defeat Robot Masters?
Play MegaMan 2 (Rockman World 2) on GameBoy
I have, I own them all. And the bosses from Mega Man 2 (NES) are actually easier (in general) Quint is among the easiest to beat bosses ever as well.
Oh yeah i heard this one before. Somebody requested a hip-hop version of this song from a guy named Raisi K on his facebook page. He and 2 others did an entire MM3 album in hip-hop. It’ll be an interesting challenge if he decides to do it.
:/ I always tear up a little bit when I hear this song. It just seems so heartfelt.
The singer may be the worst player ever, but I can’t help rooting for them and their little blue bomber avatar.
Air Man is pretty hard to beat on your first time through the game, actually. Especially back then, when you couldn’t just look up his weakness on the internet.
Think about it- you have no idea which weapons work on which bosses. You get to Air Man, and the Mega Buster is ineffective, since the tornadoes block it. You try the weapons you have, but they’re blocked by the tornadoes as well. Even if you find an opening, the chance that you’re using the right weapon is low.
