Dueling Analogs’ List of ‘Games I am Sad Were Never Made’ Features Two of Mega Man

Over on video game humor site Dueling Analogs is a list of “Games I am sad were never made,” and two of those games feature the Blue Bomber.

One is Mega Man Legends 3, and there isn’t much to be said about that which hasn’t been said already. The other is “Mega Man Ultimate Collection,” and while fans may differ in their opinion of what constitutes an “ultimate” collection, this one features all ten numbered Mega Man titles, but with a twist: “they’re all connected. That means once you clear one game you don’t lose the weapons from a previous. How cool would it be to have Metal Blades to use whenever you want after you defeat Metal Man?” Hmm, that sounds familiar.

There are more games on the list, with “Paper Luigi: The Marvelous Compass” being a longstanding personal dream game. Check out the whole list here

Talking about MegaMan, there are some games I’m sad about.

Not just Legends3 but also Powered UP2, Classic11 (16bit please) and possibly X9 and ZX3.

Shooting Star 4 were nice too, but they would screwed it up anyway, so leave it alone.

    My List

Megaman Ultimate Collection with the GB games, Power Fighters 1 and 2, Megaman Soccer and Battle Chase.

Megaman X Ultimate collection remake includes Xtreme 1 and 2.

Megaman Legends Collection re done in graphics.

Yep those be fools wishes ,but a man can dream right?

    My wish list:

Mega Man Legends 3 (this goes without saying).

Mega Man X9 (a penultimate entry to the X series, with the series ending in Mega Man X, X meaning both the 10th game and X himself, the last game being the culmination of everything from gameplay to story to everything! It’d connect the X and Zero series and I think it’d be awesome).

    Ultimate Collections:

    1. A Classic collection redone in 3D HD graphics with plenty of new features (maybe that ability carry-over?) And speaking of Classic, Heat’s idea of MM Mania revived for the 3DS NEEDS TO HAPPEN, with the exact same graphic style presented in the same article.

    2. A Legends HD Collection. Everything about Legends 1 and 2, redone in HD for the PS3/360 (dunno about Wii U). And to top it off, anime cutscenes! It would be amazing!

    3. An X series collection. This time however, everything is rehauled in graphics, MHX1 being the X1 entry, with X2 being remade into MHX2. So essentially, my X collection is an MHX collection, but with every game remade into MHX2, 3, 4 and so on. And it could have Xtreme 1 and 2. Maybe.

Now for my non-Mega Man list:

    1. THE Pokémon game. One were it’d be a free roam 3D graphic model game, where one could travel from Kanto to Unova, but start in any region. It’d be amazing.

Well, actually that’s my only wish list for anything non-Mega Man. XD

Oh well, a guy can dream right?

I’m the only one who gets a warning from the antivirus? Does the ads have a malicious script?

Interesting little dig about transferring abilities- a focus group toyed with that idea in 09 but the results were never made public. All within company walls. ;) several participants concluded it would be too cumbersome and underutilized. Translation: a lot of extra work for an already weakened franchise = high risk with little return.
But who knows? Maybe someone will dust it off and repackage for just the right approval. Of course- just whispers from ghosts in the snow.

  10. Munchy says:

    I’d really enjoy this because

a- The emulation on the Anniversary Collection was downright abominable, and

    b- I want 9 and 10 on a physical disc somewhere

I would also kill for Capcom to release the rest of their digital games on a collection, especially Bionic Commando Rearmed.
