Capcom Hoping to Get Mega Man 1~6 on 3DS Virtual Console in NA
In the most recent issue of Nintendo Power, an interview with Christian Svensson and Brett Elston reveals that Capcom of America is planning on getting all six of the original NES Mega Man games available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop’s Virtual Console. Apparently, there have been some hurdles getting the games over, but they’re working on solving that problem, according to the interview.
With Japan already up to Rockman 4 (and perhaps Rockman 5 pretty soon), and Europe recently receiving Mega Man, it’s probably certain that North America will see these releases as well. One has to wonder what the issues are, but truthfully I wouldn’t worry too much.

The sooner they put ALL 6 Mega Man games on the 3DS Virtual Console… they can take all the money they want out of my wallet.
So there’s no 3D effect or any difference huh, if not then i’ll maybe get 4 for the fourth time and that’ll be it.
I think it’s great they want to bring them over to the 3DS virtual console….
Although I will say it still bothers me that I have most Mega Man titles on my Wii already.
Nintendo needs to combine both 3DS and Wii U eShops to be honest.
That’s what would make me happy. It’s the same game regardless what Nintendo platform you play it on.
So why do I have to pay twice over? That’s honestly what would make me happy. I don’t need them to have the exact same shop… but if I own a title on my Wii U that is on the 3DS eShop, it would be great to have access to both for the price.
Regardless I say all the more power to spreading Mega Man around.

Instead of the NES games, how about we get the rest of the Game Boy games on the 3DS VC?
Man, I’m hoping Megaman Mania can come back. Imagine the 5 Game Boy Megaman games completely redone into one huge storyline for 3DS?

Just release a collection of the games for a dollar each. Not more than 2 dollars, certainly. Knowing Capcom, though, it’ll be 5 dollars for each ROM image. If so, I’ll just pirate the damn thing.
