I sincerely believe he was really baffled at the sight of 2 characters to wipe the floor with a whole group of mutants.
As for his powers, there’ve been many other guys in the Marvel universe who’ve done the “shoot energy-blasts out of nothing, defy gravity and human limitations” bits, and some who’ve gone much, much further (check “apocalypse” on Marvel wiki).
Also keep in mind that Dr, Strange is fairly new to the MvC series, thus not understanding fighting game logic, whereas Roll has been a veteran since the first 2 MvC games, and is used to seeing stuff like this (such as a servbot beating up a sentinel).

I’m surprised that after 10+ games in the classic series, there wasn’t an Iron Man. Oh well, all that matters is that Rock gets a goatee.
