Check Out the “Robots Love Animals” Marathon This Saturday to Raise Money for WWF
This Saturday, September 22nd will see Tom, Kevin, and Brian from Jetsville hold a Mega Man marathon called “Robots Love Animals” in a bid to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund.
Starting at 10am, the group will be tackling all of the numbered Classic series games and Rockman & Forte, which they expect to “plow through.” From there, it’s on to Mega Man X, which will start with the first game and carry on through the sixth (or possibly eighth). Following that, their aim is to take out the four Mega Man Zero games. You can check out their planned schedule (to be updated throughout the run), complete with the first boss they intend to take out in each game and other statistics, right here.
As for the event itself, you can both watch and donate here.

CAN YOU SMELLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCKMAN IS COO-
Oh wait.
This is one of those GOOD animal groups (PETA you know who you are)
So, in the name of the World Wildlife Fund, they’re going to play through a bunch of games where a core gameplay element is blasting robotic animals to bits?
Just wait, next up is the Sonic marathon, in which they do the exact same thing!
lol Munchy
I seriously thought that when I read the headline and was excited/confused. Alas…
Now if I actually had people that lived near me that wanted to join in, I’d SO do a BN/SF marathon. One needs to happen. In terms of Sonic; if they had me on board, they’d earn more money, as I’d jump through 1, 2, 3&K, CD and 4-1 and 4-2 without dying. It ain’t easy, but the feeling off pulling it off is awesome.
yeah, a BN/SF marathon… that’d be fun to watch -_-
the great thing about MM games for somethin’ like this, is that there isn’t a whole lot of dialogue to wait through in them. X5, Z1 and Z2 are probably the most annoying dialogue wise, but there’s much more gameplay time than dialogue time… and more action within each stage.
BN, unless it’s network transmission, wouldn’t be all that fun to watch… oh and there’s that wonderswan version too
Er… wouldn’t the X and Zero series be a bad example of robots loving animals…
… considering almost all the mavericks are animals???
While some of you do raise valid points in regards to the common nature of Mega Man’s foes, I also believe you may also be reading into this just a slight bit too much. ;P
Lol, Bal
They were mavericks, not puppies.
And yes, LBD, we are reading into this too much. XD
@Moobire: Haha, that was my first thought upon seeing this, lol. I knew I couldn’t be the only one to see the irony. :p
