Axl Makes the News, Talks Shop About His Wear

Here’s a Maverick Hunter you probably didn’t expect to see when tuning in to NBC 7 San Diego. This guy’s Axl costume, which I must say is pretty well made, won him some prime time. I never thought much of Axl myself, but I have to give respect for this amazing costume!

Pretty good costume, Axl is far from my favorite MM character, but I still like him. He’s very underrated, and gets a bit of undeserved hate, though surprisingly not as much as I expected to see online and such, most people just ignore him.

I’ve been conflicted bout Axl since he first showed up (like the game play, hate the personality) but I’ll admit this is a pretty good costume the guy made, I admire to work that went into it.

That news reported probably doesn’t give a single ****, lol. Sounds like that anyway, but he did ask a good question which is how he made the costume. Pretty good costume, it is. His explanations probably gave some casual viewers some insight into the cosplay hobby. It’s a very fun and interesting one!

But seriously, I like his costume, it’s overall well done and yea… nice job from that guy.

I can’t believe nobody’s talking about the sad little Mega Man up there in the Release Dates section.
The face he’s making in the video preview reminds me of Axl for some reason, so I expected him to sound more like him, lol. Seeing an Axl cosplayer interviewed on the news is pretty neat!
That must have took a lot of work to get it that far with that outfit. That would be a nightmare to even get started.

The 25th anniversary is coming ,but there really is no news gamewise for anything megaman at this point in time. Thats all i get from the picture meaning yes we do not know so everything is up in the air. We will get news for you all when that time comes. At leasts thats how I interpreted for the patiantly gamer crowd of megaman anything.
I too fall into the “love the gameplay, dislike the character” category.
In X7 & X8 I stuck to Axl & Zero most of the time. Multi-directional rapid fire will always trump charging in my opinion. That’s also why I prefer Bass in Classic games. Plus I can actually listen to the music instead of the obnoxious charging sound 80% of the time.
Meh, the costume was okay. I’ll post my Protoman costume when I’m done with it (I’m making it for Dragon*Con). I’m also going as Elecman for Megacon (the Orlando convention), which I will also post pictures here. I’m a perfectionist, so they’ll be top quality
Hey I saw this dude in the afternoon near the capcom booth, He said ” Yo Protoman!” as I walked by. I went as the Protomen version of him heh…had Sniper joe and Megaman by me as well!
His costume is done pretty well given what he had.
Also I’m a pretty big fan of Axl, minus from X7 cuz I hate his personality and voice in that game. :l But he’s really cool in X8 and Command Mission in my opinion. :]
And yea, I wish Axl got more respect as well.
