Weird Video Games – Rockman DASH
Everyone has a tendency to interpret video games differently, and this is especially true as you rewind the clock to when a lot of information from favorite titles, including many Mega Man games, came from supplemental sources. Once upon a time, many fans even viewed the Classic series as being as grim and dark as the X series (you know, the one with the elite penguin warrior).
That difference in viewpoint even extended to Mega Man Legends, aka Rockman DASH, as some people argued whether it was part of the same timeline as the Classic series and X, or a separate world all its own (and later turned out to be the former). But as our friend Cleveland Rock from DASH Republic recently showed on Blistered Thumbs, some people see it as something else entirely (warning: one written curse word, if that sort of thing bothers you):
Well, that was an enlightening look into the heart of madness. Hopefully, Cleveland will get the help he needs. Perhaps Capcom fast-tracking Legends 3 would be a good start?

I hope you know this was an april fools video right. Anyways I watched it back then and its hilarious. I really want to play this version of the game.

Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Got a lot of laughs out of it.
Crappy quality? That’s the POINT. Clearly you guys just don’t get it.
But really, I think what is more likely is that a lot of you are probably just still butthurt over the MML3 cancel and can’t handle a little tongue-in-cheek jab at it. It’s time to lighten up and move on, people.

I don’t remember recommending this article. Maybe someone else did? But yes, we had this planned as an April Fools’ Day joke since before DASH3 was cancelled.
Tom, the usual host of Weird Video Games, had a few rules set for me: it had to be terrible in quality, I had to get the facts all wrong, and I had to play the wrong game at one point.
And I wasn’t really “making fun of” the cancellation; believe me, it was a tragedy for me. I just tried to bring awareness to the cancellation in the least serious way possible. This involved saying that Konami was responsible, that Keiji Inafune is stranded on the moon, and so on.
So, you know, don’t take anything in this video as making fun of anyone for wanting the game uncancelled; I seriously want DASH3 more than any game in the world. The part about this being my favorite game is absolutely true.

I was playing the Japanese version of the game for this video, in which you can definitely kick Paprika. I wanted to sneak that into the video so people could see it.

If anybody appreciates it and “gets it”, it’s the MML3 fans. Even if they don’t find it laugh-out-loud hilarious.
What exactly made you think up “Racism causes bees”?
I saw what it meant I am just not getting the humor very quickly ,but its still appreciated Cleveland Rock. Just not much to smile about really.
