Have a Happy Greg Day! Err, a what?
See the man pictured to the right? This is Capcom Unity’s Greg Moore, from when he originally took up his position as community liaison for the Mega Man Legends 3 Project. It was constant work, going through, organizing and translating fan submissions and comments, and otherwise being the go-between for the East and West. And then, of course, MML3 fell through, which certainly didn’t take away stress, what with the fan reactions. Needless to say, if you’ve seen Greg LATELY you can tell what he’s been through.
But Greg is a trooper! He still comes into work everyday, puts on a… vaguely happy face, and does zany and cool stuff for us fans and more! And that’s why we’re celebrating Greg Day! We’re also celebrating Greg Day because I told Greg, if he beat Ring Man first in his Mega Man 4 live stream, I would make up a Greg Day without having any idea what it actually was. And he did it, so here I am… uhh…
So right! Celebrating Greg Day is pretty easy. Just head over to Capcom Unity, go look up Greg’s profile, and send him a PM telling him what a cool bro he is! It’s as simple as that; you don’t gotta be long winded about it.
Furthermore, you can also talk about how cool Greg is in the comments here. And then, believe it or not, we’ll pick one lucky commenter (so use your real email!) to win a Mega Man Universe headband! Why a Mega Man Universe headband? Well, because it’s something we have. We don’t have, say, $80,000. So we can’t give that as a prize.

That pic is pretty scary BUT, Greg is very cool. When I made a couple Flash games for TMMN’s MML3 contest, I was sending out emails to blogs to try and and get them to post a link, but I had little success. One of the few people I did not try to contact was Greg, but HE went out of his way to find the games and make a whole write-up about it on the main Devroom blog!
More recently, he has been awesome on the Mega Man streams, spreading the translated knowledge from the TOM-PON interviews. So, thanks for keeping the Mega Man love alive at Capcom, Greg!

Can I have his delicious man-pecs? I’ve been going to the gym but it’s so much work and I’d much rather play video games. I mean, Mega Man is cool but it doesn’t give me giant man-pecs which all the ladies obviously love. I also work out my abs which hasn’t really helped much so far, I’m kind of flat down there so I want it to be a bit more well-toned, alas, all that has happened is that I sleep better at night because I burn the excess energy. Which is nice but still, I’d like to see some kind of return to my hard work.

Do you guys want to know why Greg Day should be celebrated as enthusiastically as… say… the release date for the original Mega Man or Christmas and Easter combined?
Because he is the most important guy to come along in Mega Man since Keiji Inafune. He continues to single-handedly carry all of our Legends 3 dreams even after the serpent tainted the lake of purity, or Capcom blew up our zeppelin of hopes for a Legends 3 with Chris Redfield’s Rocket Launcher… just for the irony. Even to this day his efforts should be heralded as the stuff of Nordic Gods as his hair should remind us all of a certain God of Thunder.
When The Beast, er… Capcom, decides to relaunch the project, Greg will continue the fight for our own everlasting peace, and when his day comes, and he meets Death face to face, he’ll be sure to pull a Max Power Shining Laser to his bony form and let the seeds of future Mega Man grow from the dust and ashes of his felled foe.
