  1. pstart says:

    Dang, all the robot masters look awesome

  2. RedrazerZero says:

    Nice.. Nice.. I could live of these if they were consistent in style. If they came with a well crafted, small, original soundtrack to read these with, man that be perfect (but unreasonable)…

  3. repliroid20xx says:

    That Shotman makes the entire cover, ahaha

  4. On the 11th issue cover: Ben Bates really has a talent for capturing the original artwork closely. True, not Spaz-y, but very impressive for my tastes. Plus Air Man looks BEAST. GO Air Man!

    On the Vol. 2 cover: I must say, I’m glad that the editing looks better. The first time that image was given, it look so Photoshopped from it’s original smiling Megsy. Though I have to say, I’ve noticed that American comic books typically have frowning people. What, are they all sad? I’m speaking of this as a general issue based on the comic books I own and have seen.

    Anyway, I hope to be able to find these someday in my local bookstore. Heaven only knows when I will.

  5. Phaelin says:

    @Zero X: What can I say? We (supposedly) like our heroes to be grimdark.

    If Kirby is smiling on that cover, that junk’s for kids!
    Angry kirby? Alright, maybe some thirteen-year-olds could play it.

    America is stupid. I say this a lot.

  6. Sockie says:

    (@RedrazerZero) “Unreasonable” is right. No comics have soundtracks.

  7. INSERT COIN says:

    Gotta love Quick Man’s rapeface on that cover. :)

  8. Airman says:

    Don’t I look AWESOME!!!!

  9. Gaia says:

    Make that three masters, one internet meme, a shotloid, a Sari lookalike, and a Bob Copper wannabe.

    It dun get better ‘dan this.

  10. RedrazerZero says:

    Okay…? No games had motion controls, by your logic it was unreasonable for it to happen before Wii(even if I’m wrong you get the point). No, I meant it’s unreasonable cause, its too much to ask from them, and to be frank my version of “well crafted” would be quite unrealistic from them IMO.

  11. Sockie says:

    (@Redrazerzero) Comics are a purely visual medium. Unlike video game companies and motion control, not many comic book companies are going to bother devoting their resources to releasing full soundtracks, especially in this economy when comics can be cancelled at the flip of a coin. Apples to oranges.

    And LBD? It was Merricks who posted this on BK, I didn’t send any sort of tip.

  12. Andras says:

    Bates definitely takes the cake on this cover, I really love the one of Megaman slugging Crashman by Spaz, but this just screams awesome. Wonder what the diamond Flashman is sporting is all about?

  13. RedrazerZero says:

    @Sockie
    Are you even reading my comments? Also I listen to music when I’m reading comics all the time. What the heck difference does it make if the comic comes with a soundtrack or if i get it somewhere else, theoretically in a world with good economy? Also I am aware in a practical manner that it most likely won’t happen, I’ve stated it like three times.. You keep thinking I’m talking about or defending how comics conventionally work, you need to not bring that up again, as I know it’s unconventional. I don’t care about that, I’m stating something I desire, not demand…

  14. Sockie: Was it? Crap, I looked over and saw your name… I guess I looked at the wrong field? My bad.

    Anyway, is this soundtrack thing really worth arguing over? Besides, I thought “motion comics” (those poorly-animated comic books on DVD) had soundtracks…

  15. Sockie says:

    (@LBD) I was mainly talking about print comics. I don’t think many people buy those motion ones. (I’m pretty sure the poorer ones don’t even have any music)

    And yeah, this is a silly thing to be arguing over. Sorry, RRZ.

  16. RedrazerZero says:

    Why is it that anytime I engages in any sort of conversation on this site, people get all heated up. I’m not even arguing, I’m just making my point clear..

    @LBD “Nytetrayn”
    I don’t get what your intention is… Are you saying that there is validity in that comics can have soundtracks to accompany them, as there are similar forms of this in existence? Or what? Because if this is the case, you are adding to the so called “argument”… Or is this comment aimed at a specific person, and I shouldn’t even respond?

  17. INSERT COIN says:

    @RedrazerZero

    It’s not out of the question for someone to make a soundtrack for a comic. The thing is, unless you’re a devoted fan, it may not be worth all the effort since you have to account for editing and setting of the tracks to a specific page or panel.

    The closest example I could use would be Bean’s previews of each issue on YouTube. Just type in Archie Mega Man comic in the search bar and you will see that for each preview, Bean provides tracks from Mega Man Powered Up that corresponds to each page or panel properly. It’s a pretty well done effort.

    The truth is that the majority of comic readers tend to read the comic by picturing voices in their head as they go along. Picturing music is possible but kinda hard as you tend to focus more on the voices of the characters than the music. If the comic had an audio narration to it, then I can see music fitting in. Otherwise, natta. I speak from personal experience though.

    @Andras

    Diamond…or maybe a Chaos Emerald? ;)

  18. Munchy says:

    Holy hell, is that police guy wielding a gun? Good for him… playing the games, you’d never think humans ever thought to fight back against robots. At all.

  19. Airman says:

    Meh, so far I really don’t care much for the cops in this comic. Yeah it’s cool to see them trying to incorporate the “real world” by showing that yes, the police (or heck even the military) would be getting involved in something like this. However Copper and his spunky little sidekick are rather boring characters that don’t really add much interest to the story (at least so far…hopefully that changes).

  20. RedrazerZero says:

    WTH!!
    OK this is the last thing I have to say on the matter. I am gonna make this perfectly clear, if people don’t understand I can’t help them. In my fantasy world, I would want comics-no this comic to come with a small soundtrack. I don’t need it to synch with panels or pages(but hey if it works). I don’t need it to be full with 20+ tracks that last 6min(but since it’s my fantasy, might as well go nuts). I don’t need narration. Just music, a plain old regular, digital downloadable, disc based, whatever I don’t care, new OST. Just so I can have something to listen to, like I do with all the other soundtracks I have right now. I currently listen to game OSTs, when I serf the web, when I walk down the street, heck when I’m going to sleep and more. I do the same with anime OSTs, or movie OSTs. In essence all I’m asking for is an OST. Knowing this series track record with good OSTs, I want more of it. If you guys have a problem with that, I don’t know what to say…

  21. RedrazerZero: In the other post, I was just saying I thought it had been done– officially– and sold for some titles.

  22. TheAncientEnemy says:

    Has anyone gotten issue number 7 yet? I’m STILL waiting on mine… what gives?

  23. INSERT COIN says:

    Anyone care to volunteer to make RedrazerZero an official soundtrack for him to download?

  24. RedrazerZero says:

    Damn! (I forgot to mention in my fantasy world, I want the soundtrack to be well crafted and not from some random people that don’t know how to do this)… OK this truly is the last thing I have to say on the matter. I want the soundtrack to be well crafted and not from some random people that don’t know how to do this..

    @INSERT COIN
    That should help narrow things, and while people are being generous(squints eyes cautiously) …might….as…well..throw a well crafted game in there..

    Fortune Teller: A discussion on why this is, and why this is not possible will emerge in your near futurrre..

    Damn…

  25. INSERT COIN says:

    Wh..what? :S

  26. dragontamer272 says:

    Too bad the store that I buy my comics from shut down (due to the Economy the way it is), I buy my Mega Man comics somewhere else now, but it takes two weeks to get them when I order them, so I don’t get them the EXACT same day they are released.

    I kinda figured that Archie would do the same thing with “Time Keeps on Slippin’” like they did with the first 4 issues, re-publish them in a book form.

  27. gutsman004 says:

    Keep these awesome issues coming!
