3DCreative Magazine Cover Counts Down to Zero
If you should happen to come across the new August issue of 3DCreative on the magazine rack, you might notice a familiar face looking back at you, but in a whole new way.
Adorning the cover is none other than a very creatively-interpreted 3D rendering of our favorite crimson-colored Maverick Hunter (note the emphasis on “crimson-colored”), Zero. The man responsible for this piece, Sam Yang, also has an interview within the magazine’s pages, where he talks about some of his experiences within the industry, as well as provides a gallery of his artwork to check out.
The Zero rendering itself was created for the “Polycount: Brawl Competition 2011″ contest, and Yang has posted more of his renders in wallpaper-worthy image sizes here.

Pretty awesome interpretation of Zero.
Kind of makes me wonder if Capcom’s planning any sort of reboot with our beloved franchise now, with their recent ‘it’s important to us’ assurance, and lack of actual announcement.
That’s blimmin’ brilliant! I can see hints of all of Zero’s incarnations from MMX to MMZXA in this design. It therefore seems kind of strange that Sam Yang should peg Zero to MVC3 when he doesn’t look a thing like that version. But if Hollywood ever gets around to a MMX movie, this is what I’d want Zero to look like. :p
That’s a damn cool design, even though the expression on his face looks pretty goofy. I prefer the simplicity of the original designs, this seems a little too busy to use as anything other than a 3D model in some sort of film, but def cool nonetheless. His saber looks so out of place with the rest of it though. xD
That is one of the coolest zero’s ever. looks like a realistic mix of X series and Z series.
I love how the X armor blended with the Zero series aspects. It feels so… Wow. If Zero was remade (and I’m not hoping it will; the Zero series is already perfect, at least for me) I want this to be Omega Zero’s body. That way it makes more sense if Omega’s body was the original Zero body.

I like how the artist kind of combined MegaMan X Zero look and MegaMan Zero look.

Looks like “what if Zero was a Transformer” sorta look to me.
It’s good, although I’m not a fan of the legs and arms. (not the boots and buster, the legs and arms)
