10,000+ Like 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3

I had planned to post this with some other similar efforts, but since people keep spamming the comments with it…

The premise of the Facebook community “100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3” is simple: get 100,000 fans to “Like” the page and show that they want Capcom to bring back Mega Man Legends 3. And so far, they are over 1/10th of the way there.

It’s simple, yes, but still rather ambitious. As of this writing, 10,851 have thrown their lot in to support the Mega Man in the Moon (no, not that one), but there is still quite some ways to go.

So if you are on Facebook and would like to throw your support in with the group, just hit the link above and “Like” the group. And if you’ve managed to convince friends who are not a part of the Mega Man fandom proper to check out the game (prior to its cancellation, one would assume), have them “Like” it as well!

Thanks to everyone who brought this to our attention!

    Thanks for supporting us :D

  2. Kure says:

    I made a facebook account to like this page, regardless of how much I hate facebook. I hate their privacy and all they stand for, but to save Megaman, I’ll chip in my bit to build the rocket.

  3. JC says:

    Thanks for this guys

  4. Bob says:

    Can you make duplicate accounts on Facebook? Because if you can Capcom can always use that as grounds for any motion put through it to, to be statistically invalid.

  5. rockman says:

    I “liked it” some days ago, but aiming for such high amount is a bad decission because Capcom will use it against the fanbase.

    “You can’t reach 100.000, how can you expect us to develop the game if you can’t get 100.000 persons to do a simple click in the mouse”.

  6. MegaManSonicDude says:

    If this thing can save Mega Man Legends 3 then I’ll ask any random person I find to like the page. Just imagine if we got to 5 MILLION.

  7. Matt Dorsey says:

    I’m on facebook. Already joined :)

  8. Arc says:

    Let’s hope Capcom would notice this group and notice how much the fans want Mega Man Legends 3 back in development.

  9. Fish_Lungs says:

    Oh God my heart can’t handle this!!

  10. The World Warrior says:

    Joined this earlier today.

  11. GuardianZero says:

    Tossed my refractor shards in with this earlier today. Here’s hoping the group meets or exceeds its goal.

  12. ManwholovesRockamusic says:

    If there is strong hope those who push are the ones that lead the entourage. Fight For Ever Lasting Peace!

  13. blopa1987 says:

    (y)
    I join the cause :)

  14. Giga-ganon says:

    hmmm, i’m not on facebook, and i always said that i will never be on it… but this… might be able to make me reconsiderate that statement… argh what sould i do??

    aah, screw it, i’m going to create a fake account and like it!

  15. Makijo says:

    Well 100,000 is the most sensible target. It is a thing in the Japanese gaming industry in more recent years that if a game can’t sell over 100,000 copies it isn’t worth the effort to make as they won’t break even. Starforce was cancelled before the story technically finished because 2 & 3 failed to sell even close to 100,000.

  16. Green says:

    inb4 it doesn’t make a difference

  17. ryuroots says:

    Are people actually naive enough to think this’ll make any difference? It’s just as stupid as online petitions or the supposed boycotts. It’s a waste of everyone’s time.

  18. MegaManSonicDude says:

    @ryuroots

    Hope for the best and expect the worst. Don’t be a pessimist.

  19. MegaFan says:

    Somehow I doubt this will work… Cause as we see Capcom doesn’t care for it’s fans, only money, they’ll just say it’s not enough, fake accounts, things like that. Shot, they are already blaming us fans. So no telling what they’ll say next. They’ll just release the demo to shut us up and that’s it. If it works, and it’s back full on production I’ll be a back to being happy, errr… sort of, since the game is going on the 3DS.

  20. Masterge77 says:

    This Legend shall never die!

  21. Phaelin says:

    @MegaFan: If they “just release the demo” I would gladly shut up.

    @Green: Just in time, apparently.

    My thoughts on this (since I joined Day 1): So what if it doesn’t work? If it doesn’t, we have still shown how strongly we support Mega Man in the Western world, and hopefully that will have some influence on Capcom if nothing else. Even if it doesn’t, I don’t care – I am here to support my childhood hero, my best friend growing up, and the best damn video game franchise that ever did exist.

  22. Doctor Andy says:

    I joined, and whaddya mean starforce never technically finished? :U

  23. HeatPhoenix says:

    @Phaelin

    Imma let you finish but Mario is the best damn video game franchise ever!

  24. Lumine1412 says:

    @heatphoenix
    U MAD?
    Y U No think Megaman is best franchise?

  25. HeatPhoenix says:

    @Lumine1412

    I… I think… I think I was trolled… what do I do..?

    BE ANGRY.
    I MAD.
    ( )>>:<] (I have a square chin and an afro. Kneel before me.)

  26. ManwholovesRockamusic says:

    The hell?

  27. Bob says:

    @MegaManSonicDude

    Yes because look at where all that optimism has gotten us since they took the Legends 3 link down.

  28. Kahu says:

    Update from the Facebook page. Somebody found that the megaman link on Capcom’s brands page apparently results in a 404.

    Also, CyberConnect2′s CEO shows interest in working on DASH.

    Come on guys! Any attention is good attention right now. Fight for the cause.

  29. Jess says:

    I have a few friend that I know would help out, I also liked this myself.

  30. Forci says:

    Well, at least people will hopefully stop spamming all the comments with that link now.

    @MegaManSonicDude:

    “I’ll ask any random person I find to like the page.”

    That line of thinking is exactly why this will never work. Good job.

  31. stealthwoman says:

    epic win for megaman cartoon!

  32. Agelu says:

    Mega Man is an AWESOME franchise and all, but HeatPhoenix is right… Mario is the best, it revived gaming pretty much XP. Thanks to Mario we have Mega Man.

  33. Rock-X says:

    To anyone who says this revival attempt will result in failure, my hometown’s baseball team has this quote:
    “THERE IS NO FAILURE EXCEPT IN NO LONGER TRYING.” This may be a wasted effort to all you pessimistic people, but that’s why we call ourselves fans & you don’t: AT LEAST WE”RE WILLING TO TRY!

  34. trevor says:

    This campaign will never ever work. Capcom’s never gonna listen or see this. And even if they did, they’ll never bring MML3 back.

    But fans need to start doing something like this to bring Mega Man X in Ultimate MVC3 right away!!

  35. Rock-X says:

    Trevor:”This campaign will never ever work. Capcom’s never gonna listen or see this. And even if they did, they’ll never bring MML3 back.”
    So that’s why you’re afraid.

  36. Axlkaitoshin says:

    I’ll be on board with all my friends soon as I get off work. (Social networking blocked on this comp) I won’t leave Rock on the moon!!!!!

  37. rnn says:

    @ryuroots and trevor

    Believe it or not, that’s what I said too. Regardless, I hope you’re not too f*cking proud to make the negligible effort of making a Facebook page if you don’t have one already and ‘like’ it in the comfort of your own home.

  38. J. L. says:

    Is the facebook to support the 3DS version already in the works or we can support a next-gem one?

    If I can support a next-gen Legends 3 count me in. Otherwise I won’t bother.

    I won’t support half-hearted attempts. Do it well or don’t do it at all.

  39. Xero Omega says:

    Woot! I did and having all my friends like it! 17,400 already!
