Resonnant Vie Initial Track Samples
Here’s a nice treat for you all. Although Inti Create’s own soundtrack page does not yet have audio samples from the upcoming Rockman Zero Collection Soundtrack Kyoumei -resonnant vie-, we still have some samples for you to test out! These were recorded from the Spiceman Stream, a live podcast of sorts from the Spiceman crew (Ippo Yamada, Hitoshi Ariga and Yoshihiro Iwamoto). Because of how these were recorded, the quality isn’t the best, and one of the guys occasionally raps his fingers during play. But I’ve done the best I can to increase their quality. This should give you a good taste of what the soundtrack will be like as a whole.

The beginning of the Falling Down arrangement gives me a very Yoko Shimomura vibe. That is a very very good thing.
That Falling Down track is amazing. Just awesome.
Holy Land. <3
For minute long samples, these sound excellent. Very soothing, and pleasant to listen to. That's either a good or bad thing regrading Falling Down (I personally like it, but it's sure not everyone's cup of tea). If the rest of the CD is this good, it might just be worth the import fees.
Oh goodness, not one second into Holy Land and I feel a tinge of happiness and emotion come over me.
Falling Down is quite interesting… And Ice Brain is one of my favorite tracks in Z2. The violin (I believe it is?) compliments it oh so very well!
@mainfinger
Holy crap, I got the same exact same vibe. These sound pretty nice so far, can’t wait to hear the rest.
I was afraid to click the play button because it might shatter my hope, and luckily now I know that I am wrong
Sound beautiful so far, but I certainly hope the overall sound quality and the amount of instruments will be increase in the final release
The Falling Down arrange is.. so epic
These all sound so LOVELY!!! XD
Ice Brain is turning out really well.
Frankly, I think all three are terrible. Plinky-plonky piano and screechy violins do not a happy Glitcher make.
@Glitcher
Well, the sample quality isn’t the best right now.
I’m not too happy with Falling Down (expected something more like Kingdom Hearts) but the other two are great.
Not sure if want, I mean, I like the whole style, but for music to throw into my iTunes and listen during whatever I’m doing I’d rather have a some kick-ass tunes that pump me up.
This is not that.
Wow, Falling Down is… Wow. Best of the three for me.
I… I just had an eargasm…!
Falling Down almost sounds like Halo’s theme. it’s funny, because it’s true
yeah falling down really sound like yoko shimomura, and it’s **** great! can’t wait to listen this album!
Damn, can’t wait to get my hands on in.
This glitchy thing is also unimpressed, but here’s hoping that the rest of the tracks will be better and that the screechyness of it is just because of the audio quality~
Kinda disappointed that so many tracks are from Zero 3 and 4 when I’ve never even played the latter.
The music from the samples sound good. I don’t have a problem with any of the directions they took in how they appear to have taken the themes.
I think the real issue for some is the fact that with how the folks at Inti are planning to take the music this time around, the tracks that usually pump people up (i.e. Falling Down, Break Out, and those of similar intensity depending on opinion) might not feel as, for a lack of a better word, “powerful” in this style unlike themes like a Holy Land that may thrive on it. However, this soundtrack got me more intrigued simply because of that. My curiousity is piqued.
With the samples, I expected mixed reactions. I still liked Ice Brain in Resonance, I always liked that track from the whole series (le gasp! No mention of Cannon Ball being a fan-favorite!).
Much appreciated breath of fresh air for a Rockman album.
NICE! I dont care much for the Zero series but I thought I listen to one of them. I like what they did to Ice Brain. Particularly @ 0:37. Well, this has my attention. I look forward to more.
These remixes remind of me Chrono Cross. They are very nice.
^ I very much agree Tenshi. It’s so spontaneous!
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Thanks so much for posting this! I’m surprised, it seems that these truly are acoustic recordings of acoustic instruments. I thought they might just electronically arrange songs using acoustic instrument samples. That means no orchestration, which is unfortunate, but an awesome challenge for them! =P
The Falling Down remix reminded me of this right away:

Well, The violin at least, sounds similar.
Agree with the Chrono Cross remarks!
Holy Land + Falling Down = Time’s Scar
And I was just thinking that Falling Down wasn’t made for this time of arrange. Oh boy, how happy I am that I my thoughs were erroneous.
LAAAAYYYYTOOOONNNNNNNN
The first 2 I like the last one not so much ,but these tracks does feel like Mr. Shimomura doesn’t it? ^_^
Shimomura is not a Mr.. >_>
@Manwholoves
You’re such a poser! ;P
A bit dissapointment with Falling down. With this arrange I think It lost a core of a battle track. But these another two are nice.
@rnn: That’s the first thing I thought of when I heard Falling Down. http://twitter.com/#!/daheatman/status/53839453101363200
That arrangement of Falling Down is just fantastic. I think that If there was an animation of that final battle between Zero and Ragnarok-merged Weil with a serious and dramatic style, no other version of that song would be better for it
我最喜欢Rockman Zero MYTHOS专辑了,我比较喜欢Rock。
(I like rockman zero mythos best.I prefer rock style).
我正期待着听“冷笑”,它实在是太好听了。
(I am looking forward to listening to COLD SMILE,It really sunds good.)
I love how it sounds! It reminds me of Final Fantasy (7+ of course)
Falling down is one that caught my ear cant wait to hear the full album!
I’m curious to see how Break Out and Cannon Ball are gonna turn out. They certainly did surprisingly well with Falling Down.
@Heat – I know all boutcho tweets, son. That’s how I got here, lol.
sound so awesome must buy =)
What I find amazing is how much love the Mega Man Zero series still gets, despite it having ended and it’s follow up series not getting a title in ages.
It always makes me wonder if we will ever get to see this timeline expand further.
Since in essence it’s the true successor to the original Mega Man and X series.
I don’t know if I would refer to three to four years as “ages”.
And I for one would be disgusted if they forced another Zero game.
As for music, they seriously, seriously, seriously, seriously need some damn X arrangements. The only one we have is that fruity jazz album from seventeen years ago.
Which only included some X1 stuff. Obviously.
NEED OFFICIAL X ARRANGE ALBUM NOW! ARGH!
@ KGN-004
If they do make another Zero, it should at least be a prequel that covers the Elf Wars.
Indeed. But I think it would better if they call it something else instead of a Zero game. It would make more sense if it was tacked onto the X series. Or it’s own series title all together.
Well, it’s definitely what I would want X9 to be.
It don’t think it should be a numbered entry of the main X series. That would tie their hands for any future additions to the that time line. Of course if they wanted to they could just makes X12 a prequel to X9, and what not. But that’s just messy.
It makes more sense for it to be a subset of X.
Mega Man X: The Elf Wars (Or just Mega Man: The Elf Wars).
Really, the entire franchise and narrative needs a reboot. I would like to say that Mega Man / X / Zero / ZX / Legends has a cool story. It has some cool characters, themes, and happenings. But as a connected coherent tale it’s just an embarrassing mess. A gasoline huffing preteen could craft a story with less stupid.
But it’s understandable. Story was never a main focus of the games. Still, there’s a lot of wasted potential in that department.
Well, the Zero series was very story-oriented, and it was pretty good for the most part. I thought Zero 4 was kind of weak overall, though. As for the X series, all I really want to see is a back story connecting it to the classic series.
Okay, Yoko had to stick her hands in this somehow. This gives an rpg feeling to the side-scrolling universe of megaman…I like it.
