Introducing The TMMN Megacast!
Here’s an interesting treat for you all! Starting this month, TMMN is reigniting a revamped podcast show! Since, you know, podcasts are a sign of how cool you are on the internet, and we’re pretty cool let me be the first to tell you.
Anyway, there’s lots of fun to be had in this first of our (hopefully) monthly run. In this episode Mainfinger, Tabby and myself are joined by Capcom Unity’s Joveth “jgonzo” Gonzalez, who drops in to discuss Mega Man Universe, and we even manage to talk a little about Mega Man Legends 3 (don’t get your hopes up). We also got to ask Dr. Wily a few questions, and get a little insight about OtaRockman with Tabby.
But there’s MORE. Our music break features an exclusive first listen to a track from the long delayed BN Remix (which should be updating later tonight). And, well, I don’t want to give EVERYTHING away. I’ll just say I’ve done everything to make sure this first episode is very rewarding.
We don’t have any fancy page to organize podcasts just yet, nor even a proper teaser image, but you can grab the first episode below. And be sure to rate us on iTunes! I hear that’s important one way or another. And send in your Dr. Wily questions! Truly hope you enjoy our silliness!
Update: Congratulations to Nick Calhoun and AdventAxl for listening all the way through… and winning a Kotobukiya Rockman figure!

BTW, I was a total spaz and forgot to mention all the awesome peoples who did the Otakon panel with me D:
Twas Terra, Ryouko, LBD and .. whatever SN that RNN goes by these days. XD
It’s been a long time coming. Nice to have it finally started after all this time.
Great show, one thing though maybe having a set limit and giving each speaker a good set amount of time to speak would be good so that you guys don’t have to churn out a lot all the time and so that fans can get their podcasts. Yeah I know this was a first Podcast of sorts so it’s special but first try looking at how several other sites do their podcasts and see how you can improve and not just improve but be better and unique as well. Whew, can’t wait for the next one!
I WANT ROCKMAN!!!
I want Rockman!!!
I WANT ROCKMAN!!
I NEED ROCKMAN!
I want Rockman.
Really enjoyed listening to the legends segment. It’s nice to actually hear people discussing it as reading about it over and over all over the net gets old.
ay, I was too late, bleh timezones
Wish I could have listened but my source of internet doesn’t allow. Congrats A.Axl, if you remember me.
Well, I finally got a chance to listen to the podcast. I must say I didn’t have any expectations for THIS version to be any different from the previous version done….Wow, 3 years ago. Seriously, I wasn’t as interested in podcasts at the time so 30 seconds into session 1 I was falling asleep and never tuned back in. This time, however, the participants can be heard, the humor felt real, and the interaction was fun. There can be room for improvements, but this is good so far.
I’m glad that you included a track from BN Remix,so here’s a quick mini-review: “a brief sample of the original boss battle gives us ready for something we should strap ourselves in. As the main tune begins I felt it was somewhat a strange choice of instrumentation, but the counter melody that seem to be its echo gives it a good balance. As I was listening, The energy that came through had me imagine Megaman struggling in his battle against two WWW bosses, namely FIreMan & NumberMan, at the same time. Then, around the 1:50 mark the sound started to diminish and I lost focus because I thought my headphones were messing up. When I saw it wasn’t I worried the quality was deteriorating and I could barely stay into it with that jarring niche in my head. Fortunately, I was still able to picture the changing camera angles of Megaman & the bosses action scenes with the beats’ many jumps in and out. The last 35 seconds sounds a little chaotic and its a good kind of chaotic for me. I enjoy the work that has been done to achieve something that would’ve belong to an enchanced remake of BN1, which (in my personal opinion) Operate Shooting Star SHOULD HAVE BEEN. the only gripe I have against this (as previously mentioned) is the drop in quality: I can seriously tell you that if you convert an mp3 to an mp3 enough times, the loss in clarity to the music will sound very muddled (as in hearing people talking while you’re swimming underwater) and that was too distracting for me to ignore. There’s still time for what’s-his-name…Jesse, to go back and remedy this , but overall I thoroughly look forward to the other remixes.
@Rock-X
Oh yeah, just a heads up the podcast version of the song is highly compressed and was converted to MONO sound. The real version is clearer and is in Stereo, complete with panning effects.
@mainfinger: Well that’s a relieve to hear. I hope that is true, because this could easily become a favorite track of mine in the near future.
“Yeeeaaah, I’m pretty sick”
about time you all got a podcast
I hate how the project still isn’t complete
