Rockman Zero Collection Gets Delayed in Japan

Capcom of Japan brought some unfortunate news last night. According to a message on the Rockman Zero Collection website, the intended release date for April 22nd is no longer expected due to developmental issues. For now the release date is listed as undetermined. Capcom of Japan apologizes for any discontent this may bring its fans. An unfortunate turn of events, but chances are the game is benefiting from it in the end. As of yet there’s no word if this affects the expected summer release of the collection in the Western regions.

    Please don’t go the way of Mega Man Mania. D8

  2. Dean Beever says:

    It’s already way ahead of Mania. Mania never even got a trailer.

  3. Heat Man says:

    Shouldn’t be the case. Zero Collection is actually being developed by Capcom.

  4. DuoDynamo says:

    @Heat

    Why? Was Mega Man Mania being developed by another company?

  5. Fishman says:

    @DuoDynamo

    It’s not hard to believe, since Anniversary Collection was too.

    @Dean Beever
    Yeah it did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNceCPPvNpw

    Anyway, this is a very different case. Inti themselves who’s making the Zero Collection was in charge for all the Zero games. Atomic Planet had to rely on Capcom’s assets for both MMACs, which resulted in shoddy porting and one cancellation.

  7. Edgeboy Max says:

    I can only hope they’ll take this time to add something more into the game..

  8. mirahsan2 says:

    I’m guessing it will be released in Japan in the last quarter of this year, at the latest anyway.

  9. ZeroFinal says:

    @.@ I read that was too fast… I thought it said discontinued for a second there…

  11. Furysetzer says:

    I really hope they release it… I bought a DSi recently just for this game.

  12. Doctor Andy says:

    I wanna see a little more voice acting. 8D

  13. Lumine1412 says:

    well, at least the western release date didn’t get affected, as I am going to legally buy this game unlike any other games I played (in fact, I might even buy 2 copies, just for the sake of it)

  14. mega rock.exe says:

    What could possibly be an issue this time?

  15. Lumine1412 says:

    Improvement? More promotion, bug fix, collide with some other famous game release date (probably one of those things)
