Mega Man Model-Mania (or, Rockman Model-Rama)

We’ve done our fair share of gushing over custom Rockman model kits in this space, and we aren’t about to stop now. Let’s face it, for a reasonable price, there is a lot of this stuff that almost any of us would buy if given the right opportunity.

And as Auto has revealed to us, it seems there is plenty more of it going on overseas. It can be found at a website known as FG, but the downside is that it requires registration. Sorry, but I can’t help you there, though maybe Heat can; I’ll ask him to edit this if he can figure it out.

(Edit: Well, close enough– check the second comment below.)

In the meantime, as that is being figured out, here is a sampling of some of the custom models and figures that have been shown on FG. Clicking on applicable images will open a larger version in a new window.

If she came packaged in a box, would that make it– actually, never mind.

Reminds me a little of the Ruby Spears version of X.

Hair that can pierce the heavens.

I believe we know these two gentlemen…

This one is quite lovely.

Special delivery! One butt-whoopin’, just sign here.

Mega Man is in one devil of a mess, but it’s a good thing he’s not yellow.

The heat is on… Ariga-style!

And last, but not least: I think this is probably closer to what the Repliforce scientists had in mind before they realized it just wouldn’t work.

My favorate is the Pandora one. ^w^

BD told me people might want to know how to register here to look around. I’ve made up a guide if you’re interested in doing so, but if you do register please try not to be bothersome to the other members. Anyway, the process is very similar to Pixiv, if you’ve done that before.

Step 1: Go to the main page (http://www2.fg-site.net/). Click the big green button on the upper right.

Step 2: On the new page, enter the e-mail address you want to use. Then press the gray button below.

Step 3: The next page wants you to confirm your e-mail address is typed correctly. If it is, press the gray button on the right. The other will make you re-enter your e-mail address.

Step 4: When you get the registration mail, press the link inside to confirm your account. It will then take you to the account registration form.

Step 5: On this page, if I recall, there’s a big red button and a big blue button. Press the blue one, which is for general members who want to look around. The red button is for members who create and sell figures.

Step 6: On this next page there is a bit of information that’s required, although you don’t have to enter valid information, if you wish. Open this link in a separate tab/window to use as a guide for this step: http://www.themmnetwork.com/stafffiles/heat/fgprofile.jpg

01: Enter your nickname (max 15 letters)
02: Enter your password. Must be between 8 and 64 letters. Then enter it again in the field below.
03: Enter your gender. Male on the left, female on the right.
04: Enter your place of residence. Every entry on this menu is a Japanese prefecture, except for the very bottom one, which is for people outside of Japan. Might as well pick that.
05: Enter your date of birth. Japanese dates are written in the order of year/month/day.
    06: Your profession. Select whatever…
07: Enter a self introduction. You’re required to put something here, so… whatever you like. I don’t know if they’ll be bothered if you put in something offensive (or if they can even tell).
08: These drop down menus concern if you want the info you previously entered to be public or not. They are set to public by default. You can set them to private with the top option (middle option is friends only).
09: Check this box if you want to be able to view figures that are marked 18+ – basically figures with nudity. I know you’re going to press this.
10: Checking this box allows updates on FG to appear on your Mixi webpage. Since you likely don’t have a Mixi page if you live outside of Japan (they require a Japanese cellular address to register), just leave it blank.

Step 7: This page is to verify the information you enter, as well as to agree to FG’s terms. If I remember right, there are two gray buttons at the button, and you want the one on the left to finalize your account. The other button is just to fix your info.

You should now have a working account for FG. Mazeltov.

Luna! Yours is the hair that can pierce through the heavens!

    GIGA

    HAIR

    BREAKER!!!!!!

    …….wait, what?

  4. RegalX7 says:

Mass produced versions of these models would be relevant to my interests.

  5. Glitcher says:

Dawwww, that Iris reminds me of Pinky Street. A pity the red is so washed out. I remember seeing some fan art of her in Colonel’s uniform, but I think it was based on official art. Anyone know where that design came from?

  6. Megamansonicdude says:

    Coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool! THat is sooo awsome!!!!!!!!

  7. viper says:

thanks heatman for the instruction. I will defo give it a try =)

  8. ThetisZX says:

    These are all so awesome…

It took me a second to get your joke on the Pandora figure XD They should totally make a Prometheus to go with her.

  9. rnn says:

@ Glitcher – The answer is always ‘Napo’.

  10. Sniper Joe says:

The X figure is great but for some reason I like the Yellow Devil one more. By the way does anyone else think X’s helmet has a bit of a Spider-Man look to the shape? Especially the front light blue face plates.

  11. pstart says:

Yellow devil and megaman are AWESOME

Ariga HeatMan looks like the Noid hahaha

  12. Glitcher says:

    @rnn

Yes, I know about Napo’s pic. That’s what I was referring to, but I’ve never heard of someone designing a figure based on fan art, which led me to believe there’s an official pic behind it.

  13. Gamma Rallyson says:

    Gushing. OVERLOAD!@!!

  14. Ryan Ferneau says:

You can use Luna’s hair to open wine bottles.

  15. SeraphMan says:

See, the real question is, will I be able to purchase if I register onto the website? Or will I be further teasing myself with hopes and dreams that, at this rate, will never come to pass?

  16. Tas_man001 says:

I really like the zero style X and zero models.
I also really like the ariga styled heatman. I like all of the ariga designs quite a bit.

  17. ‘Bout time you posted the Harvest figures. You found the probably the worst photo of them though. They don’t even have eyes.

    Pandora looks pretty decent.

  18. hsbinh1412 says:

wait a minute, the Zero and X model figure standing with each other doesn’t really have any eye

  19. Duct Tape Ninja> I just posted the ones which were passed along to me. Which ones are the Harvest ones?

  20. Keso_R says:

Luna Platz = Leganchor the Gelroid = Queen Ophiuca. It’s all about the headgear :P

Thanks, Heatman for the information. If only the site could be translated somehow. I tried pasting the URL into the Search Bar(Google), but I didn’t see where it said “Tanslate Page.” It usually works.

  21. UltimaLink says:

    @hsbinh1412

They are made by Harvest WKS, the figures are models that need painted eyes, and you need to drill in holes for joints.

    Also sanding off extra resin.

I may try and find the Vent figure since MMZX is my favorite Megaman series, but it has to have another face/head with a normal look.
