Star Force 3 demo available on Nintendo Channel

demotransmitIf you’re itching to try out Mega Man Star Force 3 and you also have a Nintendo Wii, you can download a demo of the game from the Wii’s Nintendo Channel onto your DS starting today. The demo will be available until the 28th, this Sunday. The demo contains five battles, including three tutorial battles and a battle with the boss Spade Magnets. You’ll also get to hear Omega-Xis’s voice. All in all, pretty fun little demo that gives a nice taste of the game’s battle system.

In case you weren’t aware, you can access demos by going onto the Nintendo Channel on your Wii (it can be downloaded for free from the Wii Shop if you don’t have it), press the blue button that says “Find Titles for You,” and then press “DS Download Service.” Select Star Force 3, wait for it to transmit, and then boot up your DS and select “DS Download Play.”

Man, i’d love to get that demo to try out. There’s just 2 problems
I got no DS, and the internet is down on the Wii.
LOL, Oh well, i guess others will be able to enjoy it anyhow.

I ask you, why can’t these things be downloaded via your computer’s internet connection? Why do we have to have a freakin’ Wii to do this?

  5. PStart says:

    @PhantomCobra

So Wii owners will buy DS’s and vice versa. If you do have a means of transmitting WiFi data from your computer though, you can download a program to send out data like these demos etc, you just have to have the demos, too of course.

Just finished playin the demo. Fun stuff! I’m excited

I found out something about the demo: (I have both a Wii and a DS (2 DS systems: An original DS and a DSi)) The demo is based off of the one that was released in Japan.

It seems Capcom’s really doing more to promote Star Force nowadays; this one in particular. While I wanted to save the full experience for when I bought the game, I can’t refuse a demo!

That’s cool, nice that capcom of America is finally doing stuff like this
and the bonus things for Starforce 2 were nice.

its too bad its only being distributed for a few days ending on the 28th
would be nice if it were up past the released date so players who might want
to try it before buying it would have a chance to use the demo.

I tryed it, and I really like the new card system. I Was even able to combine the three sword chips and got a “Big Axe” or sumthin’. Anyone else get this?

  12. NovaMan XP says:

Yeah, you can now sorta do PAs in this game…

Omega-Xis’ voice reminds me of someone from ZXA… which isn’t good, but whatever. Looks like they used the X7/ZXA voice actors for this.
