CoroCoro Boss Contest Winner: Clock Genius

It appears the winner of CoroCoro boss character contest held earlier thisyear has been revealed on 2ch, a character known as Clock Genius, created by one Gotou-san. Details are of course scarce, since our only lead is the included image. However, from the sounds of things, the new Rockman game this Clock Genius will appear in is still undecided, or at least unannounced. Nevertheless it does seem to be fairly Star Force styled, especially when you consider there is a clock constellation: Horologium.

The Japanese must not approve of Fireman’s stapler based robot master/boss, even though it’d be amusing as hell.
Take a good look at the image behind Clock Genius. Looks an awful lot like SS Rockman’s buster/left arm. SSR4? Possibly.
congrats on the dude winnin, tho i hoped i was goin to. but if u ask me, I don’t exactly see how this won. It isin’t bad, but cmon, for a MM game? This better be one doozy of a game!

@ Protodude> The design’s theme is more than enough convincing that this is likely a Ryuusei character. It is possible that’s Rockman behind the image, but I’m going by what the people who have actually seen the magazine are saying. It’s not unlikely that CoroCoro would just use stock Ryuusei art for decoration. If this were the confirmation of a new Rockman game, it would have been mentioned.
This being a SSR game is not confirmed yet. We’ll have to wait until official sources get the issue first in order to see what’s really going on. I’m more interested in seeing what the heck’s on the rest of the page!
Don’t forget that when Capcom has a winner decided from a Rockman fan, their internal artists will redesign the character so it will fit into the series they are working on. Just like the last couple of contests, the Rockman fan’s artwork is just a concept. Capcom’s artists will take care of the final design for the character. So in the end, it doesn’t have to be a Shooting Star character. Wait until Capcom’s artists makes the final changes first. ^-^
No! No! No! Why dont they just make Megaman legends 3, Megaman X9, and Megaman 10 ? Enough with this Force series.. Oh man!
Shoot. I knew I should have entered this contest. I would have had a good chance at winning. Oh well. Congratulations to the winner, but man… They haven’t even released Star Force/Shooting Star 3 stateside yet. I’ll be ticked if they announce another Star Force game before the 3rd one arrives. I like the series, but at least concentrate on the Legends, ZX, or X series for a change. The previous two games were Star Force 2 and 3. ZX has been dead for a while, not to mention the X and the Legends/D.A.S.H. series’.

Sesshomaru, StarForce has it’s own traits and its fans. Don’t forget, people were sceptical of Legends when it came out. Each series has its flaws and strengths.

The difference between Legends and Ryuusei is that Legends is now regarded as, well, a legend. Ryuusei is anything but that to much of the fanbase. Even some of the EXE and Ryuusei fans don’t want Ryuusei to continue.
(For me, it’s mostly the concern that something like EXE 4 might appear again in Ryuusei. It appears that RnR 3 is supposed to tie up a lot of the series wide loose ends like what EXE 3 was arguably supposed to have done.)
Well there’s still a few more things that I need wrapped up in Ryuusei.

If its StarForce 4, then Capcom is a dirty liar. Didn’t they say they were gonna revive a series? I’m not sure if it was said this contest was for that series, but it looks lame/StarForce-like.
Apparently, no one over at Capcom knows what the hell good design is unless its kiddy or ridiculous…
Ugh.
I’m just hoping that Capcom changes this thing’s design DRASTICALLY if this isn’t StarForce.

I thought the same thing for the longest of time about the revival statement, but it turns out it was just an eager MegaMan fan mistranslating the news release for some reason.
Seems like its most definitely Starforce 4 now. I like the Starforce series, but I won’t lie that an announcement of any of the other series getting a sequel would have made me 10X more excited.
i actuly heard that the new game is suposte to be a battle network 1 remake with elements from the star force games.
Oh for the love of… When are they gonna release the Starforce-Battle network crossover? This dude its supposed to appear there…
