From The Mega Man Universe
Mega Man Legends takes place long after the events of any timeline. It follows the orphan MegaMan Volnutt, his mechanical monkey friend Data, and their adopted family Roll and Barrel Caskett, as they search for treasure, battle pirates, and discover ancient enemies.
