Comcept Announces New Funding Campaign for Mighty No. 9, Shows New Game Footage

There you are, looking at the latest Mighty No. 9 updates and news, thinking to yourself “wow, look at all the cool stuff that’s going on! I wish I had funded that when I had the chance!” Well, there’s good news: Now you have a second chance.

If you can’t view the video above… well, you should really make a point of it as soon as you get the chance, as there seems to be quite a bit of new footage there. But the gist is that Comcept has opened a new funding campaign for Mighty No. 9, not to finish the game, but to continue making it into something even bigger and better on a global scale.

Q: Are you asking for more funding to complete Mighty No. 9? Is the funding raised in the original Mighty No 9 Kickstarter campaign not enough to complete the video game? 

A: The video game we proposed in the Kickstarter campaign last year is going to be completed with all of the funding we received from backers. For this new funding campaign we are looking to add new content to the game that we did not or could not add to the stretch goals during the original funding campaign! 

Of course, there will be people who completely ignore this, so hopefully those of you who actually read articles will help correct those who might be misinformed.

We formed this plan as a result of all of the slacker backers that contacted us after the Kickstarter campaign looking to contribute. But let’s make this crystal clear: this new funding campaign is for bonus content in the Mighty No. 9 video game. We are reaching out to current backers, but even more so to those who missed out on the Kickstarter campaign for a chance to put even more features in this jam-packed game. Any new funding will NOT go towards existing content in the current state of the game, but bonus content to be implemented into the title.  

During the Kickstarter you guys have made our dream game possible by blowing through stretch goal after stretch goal–and with this new funding campaign we can do even more! Of course, this means new stretch goals too! Go check out the front page for our first new stretch goal: full English voice acting!
