Ever Know About This Trick in Mega Man X2?

Because Redmage1987 thinks maybe you haven't. A lot of people know about the old style Batton M-501 in the original Mega Man X that drops loads of 1-Ups. But did you know the Rideroid G in Wheel Gator's stage does too? You just have to be able to catch it outside of its ride armor.

In the 17 years X2 has been out, I'll admit I never knew this one. Riding in the armor was too much fun, so I never got a chance!

Hidden Level Editor Discovered in Mega Man X/X3

Maybe you thought stage editors were something recent to Mega Man, but you'd be wrong! Try going back to 1994! After roughly a decade and a half being hidden away, GoldS and JLukas at The Cutting Room Floor have discovered an unused stage editor in both Mega Man X and Mega Man X3. The editor lets you scroll about the stage with a cursor and place tiles that you can select manually, or copy a tile that's already on the screen. There are other features, so much so that two controllers are needed to operate it entirely. Information on how to access and use the editors are here for Mega Man X and here for Mega Man X3.

Thanks, Rick!

Evidence Leaks of Roll DLC for Mega Man 9 (UPDATE)

I apologize for the awkwardness of this, folks, but something has come up. Capcom has requested that we take down the information that was previously posted here. While I don't like covering up a story, my hands are tied when it comes to what Capcom wants. You may be able to look around elsewhere for this info. Again, I apologize for this inconvenience. Update: With the creation of the Capcom Unity Ministry of Localized Enforcement Synergy, we can now show you the original leaked press release again!

SAN MATEO, CA — January, 3rd 2009 —And you thought that Proto Man was the last content pack that we had in store for you for Mega Man 9! In the year 200X, as the advanced science of the era has created industrial robots that co-exist with humans. However, an evil genius, Dr. Wily, plots for world domination and creates his own robot army to take over mankind. Luckily for humanity, Dr. Light outfits one of his domestic robots “Rock” to fight Dr. Wily’s creations. Mega Man is born.

Set after the events of Mega Man 8, multiple riots have sprung up all over the world. Whilst many people suspect that this is another plot from Dr. Wily, Dr. Light is stunned to recognize that some of the robots rioting on the TV screen are his own creations. Even more stunning, Dr. Wily appears on television to proclaim that Dr. Light is the evil mastermind behind these latest catastrophic incidents and it’s up to Mega Man to clear his creator’s name!

Seth Killian still dancing around MM9 secret

It should be no surprise that Capcom's Seth Killian is keeping quiet on MM9's "secret." There's no reason to even keep posting about it. But I am, just to keep the issue fresh in all of your minds and make you angry.

As long as this has gone on, I'm really beginning to speculate what the point of it all is, especially if the secret is "no big deal." Personally I've started to think that this is really a means to keep people playing Mega Man 9 and keep it relevant until something else is announced. Though at the same time I respect Seth's ideal of letting the lucky person have the honor of finding it. Regardless, I suspect the hunt is much more meaningful than the reward.

Keep looking, my friends. And keep bothering Seth.
