Rockman Xover has begun to advertise yet another new update, with the new form OVER-9 and a possible new world. More details will come with the update, but for now you can get a small look at OVER-9, who appears to be an electric themed form. Furthermore, Rockman Unity also noted upon a new Collection feature in Xover. This is a database that keeps track of every kind of card you've had, organized by series. A perfect tool for the collector.
Thanks for the tip, Django!

This issue starts us of with Mega Man and co. ringing in the new year and having a great time, until Xander Payne of Emerald Spears resurfaces to get revenge on the Blue Bomber for foiling his last plot (MM#13~16).

Street Fighter X Mega Man comes out in just a couple more days to commemorate Mega Man's 25th anniversary!
The previews keep coming, and this is certainly the most in-depth preview yet. Here is 15 minutes of ROCKMAN HOLIC, with cross faded samples of all 16 tracks. All in all it's shaping up to be a pretty rockin' soundtrack! ROCKMAN HOLIC is due out in 9 days, alongside We are ROCK-MEN! 2 (which we've still yet to hear any of).

Archie's Mega Man #18 comes to solicitors this week, though I imagine a lot of subscribers likely have it by now. Nevertheless, if you're presently without you can head over to Destructoid for a nice seven page preview of the issue. This issue wraps up the story of Proto Man's origins, following his disheartened abandoning of Dr. Light at the end of the previous episode. Tony of Destructoid notes:
I'm amazed by how heartbreaking this issue turned out to be. Blues has no peer among robots, yet he doesn't fit among humans either. All he can do is wander the Earth, seeking meaning in his existence. An innate sense of justice compels him to aid humans in need, though he never asks for anything in return.
Be sure to check it out! Thanks for the good word, Tony!
If you're following Archie's Mega Man comic series, you know that the current "Spiritus ex Machina" arch is heading for its exciting conclusion. Those who don't mind spoilers can see how that conclusion sets off over at Destructoid. How will Mega Man resolve this dangerous twist in Emerald Spears' terrorist attack? And what will Dr. Wily do with his new found "ally"? If you don't mind some initial story giveaways, check out Tony's rundown! Incidentally, the compendium The Return of Dr. Wily, covering Mega Man #9 through #12, also comes out this August - great for those who haven't been keeping up with the series on a monthly basis! Personally I really liked this arch. I mean, it has Heat Man and everything!
It's about time to jump into a whole new adventure in Archie's Mega Man. Destructoid has a preview up for the next coming issue, which will start the arch "Spirit Ex Machina." Without giving too much away, the issue starts with Dr. Light and co. visiting the Advanced Robotics Trade Show. Light is quick to get gregarious with a pair of old colleagues of his, Dr. Mikhail Cossack and Dr. Noele Lalinde. We're also introduced to two of their respective creations, Pharaoh Man and Quake Woman, neither of whom seem particularly personable at the onset. Meanwhile, mysterious things are going on in the Amazon...
This will be the series' first foray into original "Robot Masters," so it will be interesting to see what kind of character Quake Woman turns out to be. I also like that we're being introduced to some of the Mega Man 4 cast before that arch gets going, which should setup some future tension. If you don't mind seeing nearly a quarter of the comic in advanced, check out Destructoid's preview!
Thanks for the tip, Wilyman!
If you've been looking forward to your next Archie Mega Man fix, here's a little something for you. Destructoid has a selection of preview pages from issue #12 available to take a look at. This month's installment will bring down the curtain on the series' "Return of Dr. Wily" arch, based on the game Mega Man 2. If you've followed the series up til now, you know Mega Man is going to need some help facing the previous turn of events wherein... well I won't spoil it. The issue should be coming to subscribers and retailers... soonish? Being in Japan, I have to purchase the series via iPad, which is fine and all but I've noticed a little inconsistency as to when issues become available digitally. Still, I'm definitely looking forward to it!
Mega Man #15 "(W) Ian Flynn (A) Gary Martin & Various (CA) Ben Bates
'Spiritus ex Machina,' Part 3. Time is running out for Mega Man and his friends. A new twist catches both heroes and villains off-guard, and putting Dr. Light and everyone at the A.R.T.S. in mortal danger! Meanwhile, Dr. Wily's growing army in the Amazon discovers a certain red-and-grey robot!"
A rather curious Super Adventure Rockman inspired story, which seems to be leading into the Mega Man 3 arch? Looks like the Mega Man 2 Masters will be back for some fun, too!
Also, this new character pictured appears to be Quake Woman, mentioned in the previous solicitation. Have to admit I'm a little disappointed in the generic appearance (if that is her). She just looks like a regular robot. I know female Robot Masters are pretty rare, but I'd hope they'd carry the same amount of diversity that their male counterparts have!

If you're a subscriber, then you may have already read through the tenth issue of Archie's Mega Man comic book, which is currently adapting the events of Mega Man 2. Otherwise, you'll have to get it from your local comic book shop this Wednesday, or, if you don't have one nearby, at newsstands on the Tuesday following. However, if you just can't wait a moment longer to see what comes next, then have no fear! Our friends over at Destructoid have posted an exclusive five-page preview (plus that nifty cover featuring the clash with the Crash). In addition to that battle, Mega Man will continue his ongoing tussle with Quick Man, and there is at least one other battle which may see another writer for this very website scrambling to get a copy (and failing, because he's in Japan, hahaha. Maybe we'll mail him a copy...).
Also, be sure not to miss the amusing bit of meta-commentary by the writer, Ian Flynn, on the second page.
Thanks for the tip, Tony!
Friend of the site Matt Moylan has given us some details of these new releases, as well as some preview pages from each book which you can see after the jump. Hope you've been saving up some money!

Rejoice Ariga fans, your first big helping of Mega Man Gigamix comes tomorrow! Via a notice from UDON's Matt Moylan, that's when you can expect the manga to hit stores. Online orders ought to be forthcoming soon after. We've gotten numerous tips over the past couple months concerning how much Gigamix vol. 1's release date has been bouncing around on Amazon. It's currently listed for July, but I imagine it should be much sooner. This time UDON followed through on the release promise! For now, though, you can enjoy these preview shots of Mega Man Gigamix vol. 1. Thanks Matt!

Matt Moylan writes in today with some great news for Mega Man book and manga fans. For starters, Mega Man Megamix Vol. 3 is slated to release in comic book stores on November 17th, with it arriving at other shops like Amazon within the following couple weeks. We've come to realize there's always a little bit of a delay between the two. For now you can check out the preview below. (And holy crap things are getting crazy in it!) Matt also wants us to pass on that they will be announcing a number of new Mega Man projects with new books from Japan to localize, and seemingly some Mega Man work from UDON Entertainment themselves (Matt mentions "and yes you will finally get to see the UDON crew drawing our take on the blue bomber"). 2011 is promised to be a huge year for UDON and Mega Man, and that details will come out in the next few months. Perhaps Gigamix? New Official Complete Works books? Something altogether exciting and new!? Stay tuned!
