This is Mega Man-related, believe it or not.Read More
Delays, delays, delays... always with the delays. We received word from reader Tony Ponce earlier (who, we should add, has a neat article about Dr. Wily, which you can read up on here) that Amazon has apparently sent notices out to its customers that Hitoshi Ariga's Mega Man Gigamix manga, published by UDON Entertainment, has been delayed. Its new release date is now said to be between July 18th and July 22nd.
Of course, this is not the first time that Amazon has moved the release date around. We touched on that a bit a month ago, when the Gigamix release was bumped from May to June, then back to May again. For all we know, the same thing could happen once again.
We have not heard anything official from UDON on the matter, but will update if anything official comes our way.
Tokyo Game Show was the last we heard anything new of Mega Man Universe. If you don't recall, that was back in September of last year. There's been speculation abounds concerning the game's fate, but we finally have an official word on Universe's status. Over at Ask Capcom, Christian Svensson has this to say:
"Unfortunately, I have no new news to share on the project. It's not dead though... and it's changed a lot."
Back at PAX, we'd gotten word that the game was being aimed for a March release, but it seems like we're probably going to miss that now. Mega Man Universe has had a lot of criticism, both for its art style and play controls for those who have sampled it. Personally, my main issue has always been about a reliance on user-made stages and a perceived lack of content. But other than that, I can't say I thought too poorly of the game. Still, it will be interesting to see where these new developments take it. We'll keep you posted.

Capcom of Japan brought some unfortunate news last night. According to a message on the Rockman Zero Collection website, the intended release date for April 22nd is no longer expected due to developmental issues. For now the release date is listed as undetermined. Capcom of Japan apologizes for any discontent this may bring its fans. An unfortunate turn of events, but chances are the game is benefiting from it in the end. As of yet there's no word if this affects the expected summer release of the collection in the Western regions.
