The Mega Man Network is Now on Facebook (For Real This Time)

Good news, everyone! Well, everyone who uses Facebook, at least: The Mega Man Network is now officially on Facebook! "Wait a second," you might be saying. "I thought you already had a Facebook page? I "Liked" it and everything!"

Well, the simple fact of the matter is that while we've had a presence on Facebook, that one isn't actually ours; it just feeds off our RSS, and we were content to just let it be. We tried reaching whoever set it up, but to no avail.

Having decided we'd like to do more than simply "Like", comment, or share the stories which show up there, we've decided to set up our own official page, and you can find it right here. So feel free to "Like" us there to follow and share in whatever we do there!

The TMMN Megacast #4: The Galaxy Man Science Show!

Actually today we have not one but TWO podcasts for you! The first is a much belated Minicast, where I am briefly joined by Sven "Splashman" Süss and Richard "Toshihisa" VanDeventer, a podcast that spanned around the globe! The discussion is largely music themed, including the legality of music downloads (gulp) and the effects of music in Mega Man games.

And if that's not enough for you, we also have a brand new Megacast! In this episode the podcast crew forgoes all the deliberate love-squelching efforts of having things like prizes and special guests, and just gets to the straight TALK, cuz that's what you love. Actually, this episode also becomes pretty musically themed when we discuss Mega Man 5 in the new Mega Man Game Club, and then review the arranged soundtracks for Mega Man 9 and 10. We also talk a bit about Rockman Online.

Oh, and of course! We have the results for the favorite Mega Man game poll taken by YOU, the viewer! If you wanna know which games made the top ten, you'll have to listen to the show! Or, just follow the break. It's not as entertaining though.

Finally, I got around to making a podcast page! Now you can find all of our podcasts in one spot! The complexity and detail of this page definitely required the three months since I promised I'd make it.

TMMN Is Off to E3

We are at the eve of the E3 Expo, where video game companies from around the globe will gather to show off their latest games for the year. And wouldn't you know it, The Mega Man network will be in attendance! Well, I will at least, along with my pal Cheston (who assisted me back when we caught Mega Man 10 in Las Vegas). We will be driving out tomorrow morning to attend for the full three days. Of course, Capcom has not yet announced anything pertaining to Mega Man to be shown at E3. However, should anything come up we will cover it on the spot (or, whenever the NDA clears up). While merely my own speculation, I have to imagine Capcom will be revealing something related to Mega Man. Otherwise I can't fathom why they invited us! We will also see about getting some one-on-one time with whatever Capcom representatives may be present, and maybe bug some other gaming celebs about Mega Man. If you have questions you'd like us to look into, or other ideas, let us know!

Furthermore, even if a surprising new Mega Man game were announced, three days would be more than enough time to cover it. Therefore, I plan on covering whatever other games and hardware I can manage to get to. I will be putting my impressions and coverage on WingDamage.com.

Anyway, got a long day of driving ahead. Hopefully, here's to a great E3!

Introducing Our Brand New Community Forum!

Nearly a year ago, we began making efforts to revamp The Mega Man Network, making it a richer and more user friendly site. We are still continuing with these efforts, which honestly goes to show how lazy we are. But progress is progress. Today is perhaps a small milestone, though, because we are ready to unfurl our new TMMN Community Forum. Unfortunately, you all must rejoin, should you so desire. The new forum is a much newer version of the script than the one before, and truthfully, having people rejoin will afford them the opportunity to check out what's new. However, you not need to be a member to interact either, as we are now allowing guests to post replies to topics.

A couple of other things to note. The old forum is not gone, just inactive. If there is some thread of posts or the like that's vitally important to you, we should be able to go back and get it for you. Also, our gallery is no longer bridged with the forum, so fan artists now must use the gallery to login and such. We will also be working on the gallery to make that a little easier to use too.

Anyway, I know this is all a bit sudden, but I recommend you just hit the ground running and have fun! We hope you enjoy the new community!
