Rockman 8 Manga Getting Revived Too

A short while back we reported that an online shop showed a revival of Shigeto Ikehara's Rockman 7 manga under publisher Wedge Holdings. Today, Wedge Holdings announced the manga in their upcoming lineup, but along with it is Koji Izuki's Rockman 8 manga. Izuki's Rockman 8 manga originally ran under Comic Bombom from February 1997 to March 1998. No other information is available yet, except that both mangas are due to release in late March, which does go against the February release originally cited for Rockman 7.

Izuki also created a Rockman & Forte manga, so for all we know that may be turning up as well. And again, hopefully this becomes more fodder for UDON!

Rockman 7 Manga Making a Comeback

Here's an interesting bit of news. Wedge Holdings, who currently publishes Rockman Megamix and Gigamix in Japan, plans to pick up Shigeto Ikehara's Rockman 7 manga. This, at least, according to online Japanese retailer BK1. The manga originally ran for three volumes in 1995 and 1996 under Comic Bombom. It's unknown now if this is a straight reprinting or a compilation of all three volumes. What we do know is it will release in February, 2011 for ¥1,260, roughly $15.31 US. (Pricing on the original comics I've found to be around ¥400, which may indicate a compilation.)

And who knows, this could definitely become more fodder for UDON to release later.
