Fans Take to Miiverse to Celebrate Mega Man Coming to Super Smash Bros.

willThe last time we checked in on the Wii U's Miiverse community, fans were celebrating the arrival of the Blue Bomber on the Wii U Virtual Console with the release of the original NES Mega Man. Now that he's been revealed as a new addition to the roster of the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, we thought we'd check in again on that game's newly-formed community to see what people are saying-- or rather, drawing.

Of course, this is only a mere sampling of the works on display in the Super Smash Bros. Miiverse community, stretching back about five hours from the time of this posting. Many more are there, and of course, many feature numerous other characters that people are either happy to see or want to see appear in the upcoming titles.

Mega Man Fans Take to Miiverse in Support of the Blue Bomber

zlCfzQ-TnVMj1MPYFdIt's been a bit over half a day (as of this writing) since the original Mega Man for the NES arrived on the Wii U's Virtual Console, bringing with it an accompanying Miiverse community through which fans can share pictures and messages. Of particular note are the pictures people draw on the Wii U GamePad. Though some are just quick sketches and others are nothing short of remarkable, they all share one thing in common: A love for our favorite blue robot hero. And since the Miiverse is something of an exclusive club of sorts (requiring a Wii U to participate), we thought this would be a good time to share with you what some of our fellow fans have been up to on the launch of this title.

Of course, this is but a small sampling of items which caught our eye from only the past few hours. There are many more pictures, screenshots, and tons of comments expressing everything from peoples' victories to which games they want to show up on the Virtual Console next, and from wishes to see Mega Man appear in the next Super Smash Bros. to, of course, Mega Man Legends 3.

And the best part? While you do need a Wii U to be a member, you don't have to own the game to participate in the Miiverse! So if you're a Wii U owner, be sure to check it out and post to show your support for Mega Man!
