Another update has graced the world of Rockman Xover. This update adds a new world, which is themed after the game Mega Man X8. Optic Sunflower, Avalanche Yeti, Burn Rooster and Bamboo Pandamonium appear as bosses, with X8 Sigma as the final challenge.
Additionally, there is the new OVER-8 armor (as seen above). This armor is a dual wood/wind type, although a don't believe wind is an actual attribute in the game. But as you can see above, they outfitted the armor with propeller-like cuffs. This armor is strong against electric type bosses.
Last, Xover also brings the "Irregular Burst" system. Normally, Battle Memory cards have a limit to how much you can level them up and improve their stats. However, by combining identical cards, you can surpass the normal leveling limits and make them even stronger. In honor of this addition, players currently have a chance to receive "Golden Wily" and "Silver Wily" Battle Memory cards when they log in. Hit the jump for some additional screens.
Thanks to Mugen Wing (and everyone else!) for the tip!
I will take the time to mention, however, that TMMN viewer stealthwoman originally sent this is as a reminder that the Japanese Mega Man Legends 3 Devroom will be closing down on the 19th, so if there's anything you want from there be sure to grab it. The US Devroom is staying open indefinitely for the time being, though to what capacity is uncertain.
Anyway, having taken care of that, hit the break to see X and Zero get funkified too. Funkified is a hip word that people definitely use, right?
So how would you feel about Capcom venturing into a Mega Man themed dance game?
Exclusive to the Wonder Festival Summer event on July 25th are these following three figures, as featured by Tokyo Hunter. The first is the D-X Zero resin kit (click for more images), which is based on the Zero so many of us know and love from the greater part of the Mega Man X series, though the specific game referenced is Rockman X4. No height or price are given, though Tokyo Hunter says they can be contacted for a price quote and pre-order before July 23rd.
The second figure is once again made in the image of Zero; however, the Bidotei Zero movable figure color resin kit is for those who are fans of the crimson Reploid's sleeker Mega Man X8 design, and unlike the D-X figure, features a drawn Z-Saber. The height is once again unknown, but the price is 10,000 yen (around $115), "plus a commission fee." Again, a price quote can be obtained and a pre-order made by contacting Tokyo Hunter before the 23rd.
Finally, it's the revenge of the Robot Master everyone loves to see standing victorious. The Nama Negi Kokoro Airman resin kit (click for more pics) stands at an unknown height, and will cost 3,000 yen (about $35), plus the commission fee. All the same details as above apply here.
Speaking of which, the site notes the following about ordering:
E-mail me at hunt AT tokyo-hunter.com with your list of wanted items, and I'll quote you my prices if I can get them for you. The wanted items can be anything that's listed on my blog, including those past the order deadline, and anything else that's not listed. I accept payment via PayPal only.
If you just have a general question, you can send it to questionsATtokyo-hunter.com (replacing "AT" with @, of course).
Ah, such strangeness the internet brings. I'm more used to seeing variations on Lucky Star or The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but this is a new one on me. Apparently, this one-- the newest thing?-- is called the "NewS CM dance," and is gaining popularity as a video meme over at Nico Nico Douga.
The first video is the Rockman X8 version, while the second is the original. They are both brief, running at 30 seconds. But if you want to see how they compare, hit the play button on both at the same time, and be amazed.
