Just a couple more details to throw at you for the latest announced Rockman toy that eeeeeverybody's gotta have. First of all, MegaHouse has updated their own site with extremely high res images of each of the figures (save for the secret one). To be honest, they're definitely not so immaculate looking this up close. But of course they are small little trinkets that aren't meant to be held right up next to your eye. So if that doesn't bother you, Amiami already has pre-orders going for the box set, which is probably the only way these will be sold online. But it's only ¥3,640 ($43.90 US) after a nice discount, and it saves you the hassle of getting duplicates.
Remember when that first promo image for Mega Man Universe showed up, and revealed all the Mega Man 2 bosses? Well a newer, super-high quality version of the image allows us to delve deeper into analysis. It does answer some questions, though definitely raises some as well. Click for a larger version. Ah, how much more clear it is without that huge Mega Man blocking the view. Well we find out right behind him is... another Mega Man. To his left is definitely Air Man, as was speculated before. To his right is a customized character, seemingly made up of Mega Man, Air Man and Bubble Man. And Air Man's head (without his bulky body) has a mouth, well, sort of. Who knew!
Nevertheless, I still can't really gauge who those two are in the far right and left. And what's the deal with those crazy eyes guys in the back? They're really creeping me out... Maybe the game lets you play as Mega Man without his face on?
Edit: Since some of you aren't really paying attention to the full article and just looking at Air Man in the image straight away, let me point it out:
Over on Kotaku, it's reported that a blogger found some interesting unused achievement graphics in the PC version of Microsoft's Game Room, a service that allows people to play and compete in classic game titles on the Xbox 360 and Windows PCs. So far Game Room has a modest collection of arcade, Intellivision and Atari 2600 games. However, could Mega Man be coming in a future update? One of the unused achievement graphics, shown right, appears to to have Quick Man, Air Man and Pac Man (one of these things is not like the other). Of course the unused graphic may be just that -- something that wasn't ever intended to be used. But it is curious nonetheless. News Credit: XD375
We've seen Jin Saotome's previous efforts to create an action figure of Robot Master Air Man with a real working fan before, and the results? Not bad. Now, he's at it again with a new working figure that is to scale with his custom G.I. Joe/Mega Man figures, and it too has a working motor, as well as perhaps a slightly Ariga-ish look to it:
You can find more pictures of this figure in action here.
