Get Me Off The Moon’s 5 Island Adventure Dub Continues!

New Mega Man Legends content is rather difficult to come by, all the more so given the unfortunate cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3, but especially if you happen to live outside of Japan. There, they got a little bit of extra material that never left their shores, most notably the 2008 cell phone title Rockman DASH: 5tsu no Shima no Daibouken! (roughly: Rockman DASH: Great Adventure on 5 Islands!).

Several years ago, the Mega Man Legends Facebook group Get Me Off The Moon began dubbing a playthrough of the game with an English translation, successfully completing the first chapter of the midquel. Now, they’ve resumed production, and they’ve just recently completed the second, which you can check out in this playlist here:

Incidentally, if you’ve not seen the first episode yet, you’ll want to start from the beginning with this playlist instead:

Unlike Square Enix with their own mobile follow-up to Final Fantasy IV, known as Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (which has been released around the world on various platforms on its own and with Final Fantasy IV itself), Capcom’s never shown any interest in tossing desperate fans a bone by doing anything with this title.

With any luck, maybe successful launches of Mega Man X Legacy Collection and Mega Man 11 (plus a heaping helping of fan support) can change this little-known game’s fortunes. For now, at least we can thank GMOTM for allowing us to enjoy this game in some easy-to-enjoy fashion.
