Capcom Announces Puzzle Fighter for Mobile Featuring Mega Man X

So, here’s some news: Capcom has announced that they are bringing their 90’s combat puzzle game, aptly named Puzzle Fighter, to mobile devices later this year. What’s more, none other than our favorite blue Maverick Hunter (sorry, Axl) is featured as a part of the cast!

Touted as a sequel to the original, this title is being developed by Capcom Vancouver from the ground up, and will include more than just fighting game characters (so to speak, given the Marvel vs. Capcom series), featuring Street Fighter‘s Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li, Darkstalkers‘ Morrigan, Dead Rising‘s Frank West, Devil May Cry‘s Dante, and of course, Mega Man X from that series whose name I can’t remember (don’t worry, I’m sure it’ll come to me).

Each character will have their own strengths, benefits, voiceovers, and cinematic special moves, and you can pick two additional characters to further enhance your abilities as you crush gems on your way to crushing your opponent. (Was it Tech Romancer?)

Puzzle Fighter will be undergoing a soft-launch in a number of select-but-unspecified countries soon, with a worldwide release set to be rolled out by the end of the year. It will ultimately be available on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. (Was it Lost Planet? No, that wasn’t it.)

If you’d like to play it sooner and happen to be attending PAX West 2017 in Seattle this weekend, then head over to booth #2309 and give it a shot! (It wasn’t Power Stone — at least, I don’t think it was…)
