Statue of Rockman X2 Will Soon Be Available to You

If there is one version of Mega Man X that has probably been the most overlooked in terms of merchandise, it’s probably that of X’s second armor. Granted, later entries in the series don’t have a lot to show for them, but of the first six games in the series, it’s Mega Man X2 that doesn’t have any Figuarts figures or Mega Armor kits dedicated to it, among other things.

That’s all about to change, however, as Bandai Japan has unveiled a new statue-like figure featuring the armor donned by the Blue Bomber of 21XX as he took on the X-Hunters in his quest to revive Zero in the “immortal” classic game:

Made of PVC and standing at 125mm (just under five inches), this figure contains a two-color LED light-up X-Buster (to represent the dual charge shots) which requires three AAA batteries (not included). The figure is priced at 5,400 yen (approximately $47.34 USD as of this writing), and Bandai is now taking orders on their website with a targeted Japan shipping date of December 2017.

The detail design of the figure was overseen by Capcom’s Keisuke Mizuno, and a representative of Bandai has stated that they would someday like to do figures like this for all of X’s armored forms.

Thanks to Vhyper1985 and Number 20 for the info!
