New Cosmic Crusaders and Stone Seekers Costumes for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

A few months ago, we received what might have been an inadvertent tease for what was to come with regards to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite downloadable content as the affiliated Funko Pop! figures tie-in revealed some costumes that weren’t featured in the game at the time. Most notable among them, at least for our purposes, was a version of Mega Man X that more closely resembles his TruForce Collectibles figure.

Today, Capcom has pulled the curtain back on not one, but two new batches of downloadable content costumes which are related to Mega Man. The first is the “Cosmic Crusaders” pack, which features not only the TruForce version of X, but a similarly redesigned Zero as well:

Referred to as simply the “Special X” and “Special Zero” costumes, the blog post curiously doesn’t reference X’s existence as a licensed figure, stating it was “Previously seen only as concept art, this unique armor design makes its gameplay debut in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite!”

Then we have the “Stone Seekers” costume pack, featuring photojournalist Frank West dressed up as Proto Man:

Okay, first of all, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to look at the name of this pack without this coming to mind:

Third and finally, both sets will be available on December 5th for $11.99 per pack, or $29.99 for the Premium Costume Pass, which includes the previous 18 Premium costumes. If all you’re interested in is the individual costumes, those will run you $3.99 each.
