Since DHX Media officially revealed the new Mega Man and the existence of Mega Mini for Man of Action's upcoming animated series, opinions and tempers have been running hot. Among those are the subset of the fans who have been concerned that it was for this new Blue Bomber that the Archie comic book series had been cancelled/put on hiatus.
Fortunately, in this day and age, such speculation is relatively easy to verify. Case in point: @stymiedthoughts on Twitter brought the question before Ian Flynn, the writer of Archie's Mega Man comic book, and this was his answer:
"Nope. Hiatus and show announcement were unrelated," said Flynn.
So there you have it: The end of Mega Man and the dawn of Mega Man of Action are two separate things. There is little reason to believe that Man of Action's series would have anything to do with Hitoshi Ariga's Mega Man Megamix series coming to a close, either, as some have speculated (Mega Man Gigamix came out years ago).
Thanks to Reiko and Derpzilla for bringing this to my attention!
