New Rockman.EXE Soundtrack Albums Coming Soon

Though information is little, we’ve got word that Capcom of Japan is releasing not one, but two new soundtrack albums for the Rockman.EXE/Mega Man Battle Network series.

Both albums are listed on e-Capcom with a release date of June 15th, 2016, and while they have not been revealed yet, each will have a cover illustrated by Capcom’s own Ruiji Higurashi, who you might recognize as the one who created the Smash Bros. look and promo art for Mega Man.

The first of the two is actually a box set containing not only the entire soundtrack to the six Game Boy Advance titles, but also Rockman.EXE 4.5 Real Operation, which did not have a western release and contains some neat remixes of Classic tunes, such as the theme of Blues/Proto Man. After tax, it will come out to 9,720 yen, or $90.20 USD (as of this writing).

The second is an arranged album featuring artists who worked with the series, including Akari Kaida, who did the music for the first and fifth games in the series, as well as the aforementioned Real Operation. It will go for 3,240 yen after taxes, or $30.07 USD (as of this writing).

Thanks for the tip, Midori!
