ScrewAttack Names Their Top 10 Game Boy Games

There’s a lot of buzz surrounding retro gaming lately. With last week’s release of the NES Classic Edition (godspeed to those who want but have yet to get one — or even just the controller), there’s been a lot of discussion about what games should make the cut in a hypothetical NES 2 Classic Edition, Super NES Classic Edition, and even a Game Boy Classic Edition (for which I’ve debated at length with friends on Twitter over whether Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge should be included, or literally any other Game Boy Mega Man game).

Interestingly, given the timing, this is not one of those lists. Rather, ScrewAttack has just released a new game called Super Rad Raygun (you’ll see footage in the video) that was inspired by Nintendo’s monochrome handheld, and so they’re looking not at the games that would be the best fit for a Game Boy Classic Edition, but just the ten best… period.

Naturally, you can’t have a list like this without Mega Man, but which one? The choice may seem obvious, but even then, where does it rank? You’ll have to watch to see!

What do you think of their pick and placement? Too high, or too low? Should it have been another installment instead? Sound off in the comments below!

Incidentally, on the subject of Super Rad Raygun, I could never decide if it might be “Mega Man-esque” enough to warrant an individual mention on the site. What do you guys think?

Thanks to MegaTuga for sending this my way!
