Comcept Announces New Mighty No. 9 Release Date, Demo Now Available

It’s been a rocky road for fans — or arguably would-be fans — of Comcept’s Mighty No. 9, but today brings some good news straight from the horse’s mouth.

For starters, following the news that the game had been delayed until 2016, we now have a new definitive (insert jokes in the comments below) release date for the title: February 9th, 2016 in North America. The rest of the world will have to wait just three more days for the February 12th release in all other regions (likely due to North America having an earlier day in the week for most releases than Europe).

Plus, for those wondering about the status of the delayed demo version for backers (which itself had been delayed), wonder no more! The demo version is available now:

All you need to do is use the e-mail address that is attached to your Kickstarter or Paypal pledge to login to the Humble Bundle website and the download link for the Special Demo Version will be available! From there you just need to download and enjoy!

If you do not have a Humble Bundle account, or are unable to locate your order please enter the e-mail that was used to back Mighty No. 9 on the Humble Bundle Order Resender page.

As a reminder, the demo no longer features DRM nor is there a time limit on how long you can enjoy it. “You are also welcome to stream or record gameplay videos to share with your friends and followers,” says the update on Comcept’s website.

Thanks to Zaff for the tip!
