More Images, Video of ThinkGeek’s Mega Buster

A few days ago, ThinkGeek teased us all by showing off some sort of new life-size Mega Buster product on their Twitter. But today, we get a full look at what they have to offer us before the end of the year.

They’ve added a new product page to their website which features a video demonstration and the following details:

Product Specifications

  • A full-sized replica of Mega Man’s Mega Buster Gun
  • Two trigger-activated, light and sound effects: single shot or charged shot
  • Power up and down light/sound effects
  • Fits right or left hand (ambi-blaster-ous)
  • Officially-licensed Capcom product
  • A ThinkGeek creation and exclusive
  • Batteries: 3 x AA (not included)
  • Dimensions: approx. 8″ diameter (at widest) x 14.2″ long – arm hole is approx. 4.8″ diameter

The price these are going for is $79.99, and it appears to only come in the Mega Man style (sorry, Proto Fans). The estimated release date is marked as “12/15,” which we certainly home means December 15th, 2014, and not December 2015.

If you’re reading this, then you probably noticed that the LED power meter in the image above is placed on top of the Buster rather than on the side. Just imagine trying to hold your arm so that the meter is always “right;” that would become unpleasant after a short time.

Fortunately, a note on one images states that it is a prototype being shown and not the final version, so we can hope that little detail will be fixed for when this product is finalized.

Until then, you can visit their product page to check out some more pictures and other details.
