At long last, the final installment of the NES Mega Man games is available for purchase in the Nintendo 3DS eShop. $4.99 is what it costs to get this Virtual Console goodie, one of the final games to come out during the system's twilight days.
Fun Fact: The game might not have made it to North American shores at all, had it not been for Nintendo of America, who published the title in this part of the world (Europe wasn't quite so lucky). Though it was released in October of 1993 in Japan, a few months before Rockman X made his Japanese debut in December of that year, it wouldn't be available in North America until March of 1994, a couple of months after Mega Man X hit the Super NES in January. Despite this, Nintendo Power's December 1993 issue would cover the game before moving on to Mega Man X the following month.
Of course, by this point, the Super NES was well underway and the NES was being increasingly ignored by all but a few, leaving Mega Man 6 as a somewhat underrated title of the era.
