Archie’s Mega Man Getting Some Appreciation in Japan

Archie’s Mega Man comic series has been enjoying healthy sales and popularity in the west. So you can be sure fans of Rockman across the Pacific have been taking notice. While it may be tough to get and tough to read, there are fans who enjoy the comic in Japan, too. And that enjoyment is going to level up.

Blister Comics, a store in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo that specializes in American comics and toys, is preparing a Mega Man Comic Fair at their store on April 20th, from 11AM to 3PM. Ucchy-san will be on hand, selling newly printed copies of Mega Man #24 – the beginning of the “Worlds Collide” arc. Purchasers can also get the variant cover versions and a trade paperback of their choice as a gift. Furthermore, there will be drawings for Rockman goods.

What a great way to get more Japanese people into the comic! It’s a real shame the comic isn’t localized here, especially when it has to be translated anyway for authorization purposes. If you’ll happen to be around Tokyo on the 20th, this event ought to be fun to check out!

Thanks so much for the tip, Asadori!
