Street Fighter X Tekken Artworks Coming in August

Following the recent announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom: Official Complete Works, UDON Entertainment has revealed that August will see the release of another art book, this one being Street Fighter X Tekken Artworks. And if you’re wondering why we’re talking about this here or what this has to do with the Blue Bomber, then we kindly invite you to come out from under your rock, man.
As many of you might recall– some with a sense of fondness, others with a deep stinging sensation– Street Fighter X Tekken featured an oddball representation of Mega Man with a “hidden” character in the PlayStation 3 version based on the “Bad Box Art” version of the hero. Moreover, you might remember that Capcom developed numerous designs, some of which were actually pretty cool, before settling on the well-traveled hero who just doesn’t know when to retire… or whose version of Roll may simply not let him.

Now is your chance to own a copy of the 192-page book containing these design sketches, as well as numerous other pieces from SFXT artists such as Shinkiro, Kinu Nishimura, Akiman, and more. There are also additional pieces of creator commentary (“on almost every image in the book”) and four extensive interviews as well.

The softcover book will be released in August for $39.99, though preview copies will be available at PAX 2012. If you’d like to order it through a more conventional bookstore, then the following numbers may prove useful to you: ISBN: 1-926778-51-0 and ISBN-13: 978-1-926778-51-8.
